AN: what Edward is playing is in the video up top
The Cullens were enjoying some peaceful time in the living room witch was rare. Emmet wasn't challenging jasper to fight instead he was sitting next to his wife looking at some TV show together, Rosalie wasn't complaining about how obnoxious the humans were but relaxing into Emmet's strong embrace, Jasper was sitting calmly on top of the piano listening to the tune and feeling the soft vibrations being played completely relaxed with no humans around, Esme was sitting next to her husband on the couch leaning into him, Carlisle was running his thumb up and down Esme's hand that his was resting on top of, Edward was playing an extended version of Clare dé lune on the piano staring at jasper lovingly and finally Alice was arranging a bouquet of flowers above the fireplace that she had picked after hunting.
Alice always did her bouquets with alliteration she didn't exactly know why but it was a tradition she started since she didn't have any memories of her human life so one day while she was travelling and looking for jasper knowing he would lead her to this future vampire family to be apart of she decided to start making bouquets and leave them for someone to find.
She would always use flowers starting with the same letter and pick them carefully using the meanings to make different types of bouquets, some were meant for love some for family and some for luck she would sometimes be travelling miles to find the right flowers to put together then she would leave it in a place she knew it would be found and retire to wherever she was staying that night to watch the vision of whoever would pick it up and what they would do with it.
It grounded her and gave her a routine and something to look forward to while waiting to meet Jasper.
Once she found her family she kept going making them for different things and putting them up in the house each bouquet for a different occasion had a different meaning behind it. This time she had no idea what it was for but her senses lead her to each flower and she had a strong feeling that it was an important one, when she was finished she planned to look into her family's collective future to see what is going to change and why it's so important.
This bouquet included Lilac which was for youthfulness but Alice had specifically picked purple lilac with represented first love it excited her a bit because the only one in the family who hadn't been in love before was her, lily's specifically orange one's witch represent passion, some lilac roses witch means mystical or enchanted love but because Alice also made sure to pick thornless ones it also meant love at first sight, and finally Alice had sprinted all the way to hamilton county in new york to get some white lotuses to add they represent purity grace and beauty and they were Alices personal favourite of the bunch because they were resilient and could survive in extreme conditions ranging from in ice to scorching sun not only that but they are known for purifying the water they are in.
soon enough after Alice had fiddled with the delicate positioning of the flowers for nearly two hours before she was done she was about to announce to the family that the bouquet was absolutely perfect and warn them not to touch or go near it but she would allow them to look at it as long as they were careful but she was pulled into a vision.
Alice was in art class setting up her supplies on her desk when a new person entered the room, they had very vibrant turquoise hair in a short style but had a fringe covering their forehead they had deep blue eyes with some black eyeliner making them pop long lashes a strong jawline a cute round nose with a black septum pearcing in it and purple painted lips that were slightly smiling,
they were wearing black cargo pants with a silver chain going from one belt loop to the next on one side of the pants and a black lose cropped T-shirt that met the high waist of the pants but if the mystery person was to reach up for something or stretch a little it would ride up showing the persons mid-drift the shirt had three tarot cards saying sun, moon and stars on each card and attached to the cropped shirt were two black and white striped sleeves covering the person's arms.
Adorned on their hands were a few silver rings and with her amazing eyesight Alice was able two see one was a yin yang ring one had a sun and a moon on it one was made to look like a chain and two different fingers had a snake coiling around them all of these were spred out on both hands that seemed to be holding a slip for the teacher to sign.
when Alice stopped admiring all the little details of this beautiful enigma that walked into the classroom and looked at their face again she noticed that it was scrunched up and that they looked slightly angry or perhaps it was frustrated, Alice was slightly shocked it was a big contrast to the small beautiful smile they wore when they first walked in what's even worse was Alice despite not knowing this person whatsoever wanted to find out what had bothered them so much and she wanted to fix it or take it away. It confused her greatly she had never felt this way for a human, she liked humans of course I mean she was one at some point but had never felt so protective of one let alone one she had never met.
Alice came out of her vision to see her family all staring at her waiting patiently for her to come out of her trance while Edward looked a little shocked but then beamed at Alice because he had seen the vision through Alice's mind and knew she was already a little fond of the human.
"what did you see?" questioned Carlisle always ready to act on any situation to protect his family.
"Alice has got a crush on the new kid" Edward said smirking
"I don't have a crush on them I just want to get to know them they seem nice" Alice defended quite poorly even Emmet was sceptical and he's usually one to take someone's word for it.
"yeah well that's not what your mind said" Edward said a bit smugly
Alice scowled at him and flipped him off in her mind
"well when is this new person coming?" Esme asked to change the subject and hopefully avoid a fight
"tomorrow they are gonna start their first day" Alice said
"oh great Alices is gonna talk to a human" Rosalie said bitterly and Alice narrowed her eyes slightly at the comment but let it slide it wouldn't exactly help her case if she defended the mystery person.
"ok let's all forget about this tonight and just see what happens when they come tomorrow then you can all discuss thoughts and opinions after an actual meeting" Carlisle said hoping to put off a family fight for at least another day knowing rose wouldn't give up easily.
"ok as long as no one touches my bouquet" Alice said to remind them of its presence.
