PLEASE READ THIS IS ALL STUFF I FIND IMPORTANT TO THE PLOT
AN: Hi I'm Quinn the author of this fic I'm definitely not the best writer out there or the most organised so I apologise if my update schedule is all over the place I will try to update once or more a week this An/chapter is important and has TW and information you might need for context I'll try to make it as short as I can.
I wrote this fic because even though I like both Alice and Jasper I haven't seen many Alice x oc fic's out there so I decided instead of searching for a good one I'd write a (hopefully) good one.
The main character is based off myself because I found it easier to write someone with a similar backstory and personality, that being said NOT EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM IS SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED a lot of their backstory, personality and relationships are made up for plot purposes or because I thought it would make them more interesting.
this main character is Autistic and has ADD so if they comment either in their mind or to another character about minor things like the sound of someone's voice being annoying they are not being a bitch it's a sensory thing and something they can't control. I have chosen to write it like this because I have both and find it easier to set a scene by adding things about the noise or making the character think random things about their surroundings, it will not affect a lot of the story.
Lyric is Australian and indigenous it won't affect the plot too much but it is an important part of who they are as a character, I don't see much media about indigenous Australians and I thought it would be nice to make them be Aboriginal.
there may be some mentions of depression and few self-esteem issues to do with the main characters looks. they will have scars from self-harm but it won't be detailed and they won't cut throughout the story as they have been clean for three months when the story starts and a few self depressing thoughts to do with body image but no eating disorders or diet issues, but if you are uncomfortable of triggered by these feel free to not read this story.
this character is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns but they don't mind feminine terms like 'girlfriend' 'niece' or 'sister'.
