It's been a week since Karaoke Dokie and now Caleb was doing a sculpting internship in Seattle. I've been thinking about what Beck said. "I think you like him and it's clouding your judgement."
The bell rings. Right, I'm in Sikowitz's class. I totally spaced.
"Alright, nice work everyone," Sikowtiz calls out to the class. "Wait, Tori, Andre, Hailee, Beck, Jade, Cat, and Robbie." Each of us stop and turn around at the sound of our names. "Stay for a moment." When he turns back around, he's holding a shiny handbag.
"Um, why do you have a woman's purse?" Tori asks, with a hand on her hip.
"I don't have a..." He looks down. "Good Gandhi, where did this come from?" He starts scanning the room. "And where's my dozen bagels?"
"Can I leave?" an annoyed Jade asks. Her arms are crossed and her head is tilted in a bored manner.
"Wait." His expression changes. "How would you teenagers like to do something for money?"
"I have a job," I state. My friends turn to me with confused expressions. "I work at Jet Brew on the weekends. Don't tell me you seriously didn't know that."
"Anyway," Tori says, turning back to Sikowitz. "Can we have some details?"
"Well, I assume you're all familiar with Kevin Chase," SIkowitz starts.
"The guy that owns, like, half the hotels in Vegas?" Beck asks.
"I'm telling the story!" Beck apologises along with sarcastic hand gestures. "Kevin was my roomate in college, and now he's extremely wealthy, and his little boy is turning four years old this week." Sikowitz pulls over a stool and sits down. "The big o- four."
"What do you want, man?" Rex asks. Sikowtitz continues.
"Kevin hired the Waggafuffles-" Cat gasps. "-to perform a song at his son's birthday party."
"Oh, I love the Waggafuffles!" Cat exclaims. She starts singing one of their songs.
"Shut up," Rex snaps.
"Rex told me to shut up!"
"Yes, thank you, Rex," Sikowitz says. Cat gapes at our teacher, followed by Jade bribing Sikowitz with a dollar to continue. He explains that the Waggafuffles' plane crashed and how Kevin Chase needs another kiddie musical group. Just as we're all about to leave, Sikowitz tells us the incentive. "He'll pay you a thousand dollars."
"A thousand?"Tori questions.
"Shall I tell my friend you're all in?" Sikowitz asks. I shake my head.
"I don't like toddlers," I deadpann. "That's why I serve coffee."
"Don't you babysit?" Tori asks me. I glare at her.
"I'm out," I say as I shrug my bag over my shoulder. "Have fun." I walk out the door.

It's been about a week since I've seen any of my friends, other than their Diddly-Bop video. Honestly, it didn't look as horrible as I thought. I notice Andre, Tori, and Trina at a table and walk over to join them.
"We didn't wanna be in it," Tori says to Trina.
"Then why did you-" Trina gets cut short, by Sinjin of all people.
"Hey, Andre. There's a handsome man over there who wants to talk to you," Sinjin says, pointing in the direction of where the person is. Andre looks over, and I follow his gaze.
