I couldn't sleep well last night. All I can think about lately is Beck. Beck Beck Beck Beck Beck Beck Beck Beck Beck. Beck. Something's wrong with me. In Sikowitz's class, Jade and Cat are doing a scene. Beck and I were sitting next to each other.
"Betsy, Betsy. That animal's delicious flesh can keep us all alive for another week," Jade says.
"I don't wanna be alive without Poncy. This pig is everything to me that my daddy never was, and I'll be ding danged-oh!"Cat exclaims halfway through her line because Sikowitz pegged a ball at her.
"Sikowitz!" I shout.
"What?" he responds.
"You hit my sister in the face with a ball!"
"Oh, come on. A truly great actor can stay in the scene no matter what's happening around her," Sikowitz dismisses. I roll my eyes.
"But it really hurts," Cat complains. The bell rings. "Oh, lunch! Yay."
"Learn your lines. I want everyone off book tomorrow," Sikowitz calls. Beck and I stand up.
"Hey, Tori, "I call out. She turns around.
"What's up?" she asks. Andre leans against the open door.
"You wanna come to lunch with us?" Beck asks.
"Sure, just let me- ahhhhhh," Tori screams and I notice the ball that was pegged at her. "What was that for? I'm not acting right now!" she shouts at Sikowitz.
"We need to chat," he responds.
"And 'Tori, can I see you?' wouldn't have worked?" Tori retorts.
"Have fun," Andre says.
"Protect your face," I tell her.
"Don't die," Beck mutters underneath his breath.

"Hey, do you know where I could buy a pair of ballet slippers?" Andre asks Beck, Robbie, and me. I look at him, with a raised eyebrow.
"No, I don't," Beck answers, "But I do know where you can get yourself a pretty skirt and some lip gloss..."
"Heh, heh, heh. That was a good one, Beck. Lip gloss!" Rex laughs.
"Why do you even need ballet slippers?" I ask Andre.
"'Cause I signed up for ballet," he answers.
"But why?"
"Whoa, whoa. Isn't that kinda girlie?" Robbie questions.
"Yep. Just one big room full of girls, and me," Andre tells Robbie.
"You guys picking up what I'm putting down?" Andre asks.
"I am," Beck says.
"Yeah, pretty smooth," Rex agrees.
"Not really. Who wouldn't know?" I ask as I roll my eyes.
"I don't understand," Robbie adds. I facepalm.
"What a shocker," I tell him, not all that surprised.
"A lot of girls who dance, all in one room, with him," Beck tells him, breaking it down.
"Ah! Haha!" Robbie laughs. "Would you mind if maybe I signed up too?"
"Nah, go for it," Andre says and then turns to Beck. "How about you, man?"
"Can't," Beck says, "Me and Jade already signed up for salsa dancing."
