POV-Fae Lockheart
"Hurry along!! We have to gather everyone in the castle. Where's Flora??" I panicked. The castle is being under attack by darkness we haven't had time to prepare for.
I head down the corridor to find my husband laying on the ground unconscious with my daughter still wrapped in his arms.
"FATHER!! Mother what's wrong with father? Mother!" Flora yelled in a panicking matter. Her arms are gripped tightly as the guards are forcing our two bodies away from my sweet husband.
The only thing that came to mind when this attack happened was, could it have been the one who shall not be named? No this was someone else. I know it.
We are being escorted to a safe place for the time being and as we hurry I glance up to our families crest still standing. A little light shines upon the emerald glass crest. A little light of hope after this tragic mess.
"You guys should be safe here. We will get everyone else to safety. Just stay here." A guard informed me.
"Please make sure the village is untouched." I say firmly.
"Yes ma'am" the guard sternly said.
10 years later-
POV- Flora Lockheart"Flora your mom just informed me that you have an extra study lesson today with Severus." My maid warned me. I've been in bed all day from being overworked from all the study lessons I've taken.
My 18th birthday is coming up and I have to prepare myself for yet another ball. I never get a rest from anything to do what I'd like to do. I have all these goals set for myself in the future but instead I have to live up to my moms expectations.
Like that's ever going to happen. I can simply do that. I just don't want to. Once I'm queen I don't need to be my mother.
I head to the study room without eating breakfast and start preparing my space for whatever we are going to do in this lesson. Im always early and prepared but I feel like today I've been a bit behind. I feel like somethings going to happen but I am unsure what this feeling is.
"Morning miss Lockheart. Hoping you've looked over and reviewed what we learned last time." Snape snarled at me. After my father died when I was 6 my mom demanded that I had someone teaching me everything I could use to protect myself and this kingdom.
"Ive reviewed chapters 156-188 like you informed me to last time." I told him confidently. He looked at me with disappointment like he always does.
My lesson lasted a couple of hours and as I get older the charms, potions, and all of the above get more challenging. I can't doubt myself for a second. Even if I don't want the crown I want to be as powerful as I can be.
"Today's lesson was brilliant but still needs improvement. I brought over a visitor with me that your mother wants you to meet." Snape had informed. We never get visitors ever. So this shall be fascinating.
We head to the great hall to see who this visitor is. "Flora, this is Dumbledore. We have decided it is the best decision to send you to hogwarts so you can learn how to make allies-" Dumbledore had cut off my mother for a second and my mother had that cold look in her eyes. I've never seen anyone attempt to cut her off other than myself. "Friends" Dumbledore corrected my mother. Does this old man want my mother to kill him?
Snape has never mentioned anything other than what goes on in our lessons but apparently he teaches at Hogwarts.
"It's only a suggestion but I feel as though Hogwarts would be an excellent fit for a young lady like you." Dumbledore explained his proposition.
My mother kept staring at me waiting for me to say what she wants me to say. So I just agreed. Won't guarantee that I'll make any "friends" but it's a great escape from this retched place.
The morning after-
Dumbledore and Snape are prepared to escort me to Hogwarts while my mom gives me this smirk.
I felt a hand guide my arm aside from everyone. "Your mom wants the best for you. Take this as a chance to find a piece of yourself and maybe meet some people who might be by your side with you forever. Keep your head high love" Narcissa whispered to me.
She has been there for me for years and I wish she was my mother. I know I can't let someone like her down. Same with my father who I know is always a part of me.
Time for a new journey.
I start grabbing the last of my belongings and head off to Hogwarts.
