I felt like my soul just left my body.

Gone.

Vanished.

Extinguished.

Evaporated.

Wait, that now just sounded too scientific for my taste.

Anyway....

Imagine it floating up and going into the clouds and disappear forever. And that very soul left my body because I just got kissed.

I just got kissed!

I had someone's mouth on my own mouth! Okay, no, now that sounded weird and awful.

But I just got kissed! And the one who kissed me was Shadow! Shadow the Hedgehog! He's the least anyone would expect to kiss me and on the lips!

Like what the fuuu***k just happened?!

Well, I got kissed!

I probably said it already but how can someone just calmly recover from that?

Anyway, after that kiss, I could not do anything but be left speechless. I was shocked. I was confused. I was embarrassed. I was happy for some unknown reason. I felt all warm, tingly and like worms were wriggling uncontrollably in my stomach. It was all....I don't know!!! I think it must be the chilidogs!

Just why do I not knoww!!! Oh gosh! How long had I been spacing out? I should say something!

"I...I...." were the only words I manage to intelligebly utter. Now I sounded like an idiot to him. He might regret kissing me. Or it could have been an accident. He dipped his head too low and accidently made his lips connect with my lips.

"Sonic."

I flinched as I heard him call me. Yet I also felt warmth rush all over my face. My eyes had been staring into the ground, asking it would swallow me up because I was right now not...not...

"Sonic." Shadow called me again.

I hesitated to meet his eyes. But I still did, I couldn't resist. I looked into his ruby eyes. I perhaps expected a look of disgust, but Shadow looked almost as confused as I am. His eyes appeared hazy and unsteady. But I don't know. I might be assuming things and over thinking it all too much.

I prepared my mouth to say something but I couldn't really think of what to say. I am honestly just too speechless.

"I...uhm...uhhhhhhh..."

"Sonic..."

Before anymore words could be spoken, we were interrupted by a thunderous explosion. I felt someone tackle me into a hug and shielded me from any incoming debris that came to our way. My eyes were shut tight and I instinctively held onto that someone.

Once it settled, I opened my eyes to see Shadow. I looked around and realized I was laying on the ground with Shadow on top of me. He used himself to shield me from getting harmed. I blinked a few times before my mind could fully process what kind of particular situation we were in. That's when I felt the blood rush to my cheeks again. I honestly panicked and sat up while unintentionally pushing him harshly off me.

Oh my chaos! Now I had seem so ungrateful. What is wrong with me?!

"Um, thank you. You didn't have to do that." I muttered while avoiding eye contact with him.
