My back was against the cool surface of a flat metal table that Tails had told me to lay down on.

Five days had passed. My fever had finally went down but still left the minor coughing and a minor cold upon me. No one has still fully explained to me the whole incident that occured. Well, the not in a detailed explanation exactly, but I was still curious and uncertain if what Shadow had told me was really the truth. But somehow, I felt like he wasn't completely expressing everything out to me.

I still pondered upon my thoughts of why would I even hurt my friends? Why can't I remember doing so? And why do I get a headache just by thinking about it?

Tails was currently on his computer typing on whatever it is that I have no idea of. I don't really see the point why I am even here. Maybe it's a check up on my fever? It's not that serious for Tails to run some tests on me. So it is probably something else.

"Hey Tails! Could you...um...remind me why I am here again?" I asked him as I sat up from my laying position.

"Didn't Shadow told you?" Tails said, taking his eyes off from the screen and looked at me. "I thought he had already explained it to you." he added.

"Yeah he did, but it wasn't exactly that clear to me. I mean why would I even attack you guys? You're my friends." I said.

"You attacked me and the others because you were mind controlled by Eggman." Tails replied.

The words that had escaped his mouth shocked me yet at the same time I was relieved. Shocking because Egghead had actually use me as a mindless puppet and relieved because now I know it wasn't truly me who had dare hurt them.

It made sense now.

Apparently, since it made sense now a new wave of questions began flooding my mind.

How was Eggman able to control me? What did he use on me? Has it been removed or not? Am I still reachable by his control? How was he even able to control me? Was I captured? Or did he and his robots sneaked inside my hut?
I have got to get my hut a door.

Tails must have seen the panicking expression drawn on my face. He got off his chair and put a calming hand on my right shoulder.

"Sonic are you alright?" he asked me.

"I-I just can't believe that I just been controlled by Eggbreath." I said to him as I looked at him in the eyes to reassure him that I am fine and I gave a small chuckle. "But what if he gets a hold of it again? Or worse, what if someone else gets a hold of it much worser than the doctor himself?" I added with my voice trembling.

"You don't have to worry about that anymore, Shadow was able to steal the controller from Eggman along with a similar chip that was implanted to your brain." Tails said smiling softly at me. I gave out a shaky breath and nodded. Feeling a bit relieved to have some questions of mine answered.

"Did you already destroyed the controller?" I asked slightly nervous. That's when I saw his smile drop.

"No." he replied, his hand withdrew away from me as he looked down and picked up what I believed was the item we were discussing.

"The reason you're here is because I'm still trying to figure out where Eggman had implanted the mind control chip in you." he said as he looked at the item in one hand while his other hand was on his chin. "When we finally have the knowledge of where it is located that's when we will remove the chip as soon as possible." he explained looking anxiously.

"So what does that have to do with the controller?" I asked.

"Destroying the controller while the chip is still somewhere in your brain could...could cause you harm." he paused. "Somehow Eggman thought this through. The chip and controller are connected, destroying the controller would cause the chip a short-circuit." he explained to me carefully.
