"(Y/n), when you go down, you have to get back up again."
Bakugo pressed, watching your push-ups' closely.

"Katsuki I can't!" You tried to explain, using all your strength to push yourself off of the ground, but it wasn't there.
By a hair, you reminded yourself. You are passing by a hair. A hair so fucking tiny, your not sure you could make it to graduation.

All Katsuki did was grab your collar and pull you up himself, partially sick of trying to train you all day.
"Come on, do the rest yourself."
He was only helping by a bit, making your body only slightly hover from the ground, maybe not even by a centimeter.

With that help, you found some courage and durability to push yourself.

Really, he wanted to be soft with encouraging you. But.. you were unfortunately paired with him to do training today.
He wasn't going to be kind, especially not with you. You were a sliver away from failing, and no way in hell was he going to let that slide.

He made you form the perfect position, an undoable position.
You could barely get yourself onto the floor with two arms.

Even with the help, you were falling behind.

"Do it."

You were raising yourself by a bit, then finally on got back into the air.
Panting like it was the most work and effort you've ever had to put in.

"Jesus Christ."
"Can't believe your this weak."
He said it less as a jab, and far more as an observation.
You are certainly weak.
"Weak body, strong mind."
Was how he tried to rephrase, not wanting to deminish your confidence even more.
As if struggling to do a pushup wouldn't serve as a damper.

Now how did you manage to survive the rest of the school year.. and then some?
You weren't quite sure.
Especially not at this rate.

Though, some how you remained strong willed in not only the physical aspect, but mentally.
Certainly have made some progress in that area...
Maybe that's why your so behind on training.

You wiped the dirt off your hands, "I know."

"You need to get stronger before graduation." He reminds, "Or else your gonna fail."

"I know!" You exclaimed, as if he hasn't been telling you for the past month graduation was soon.

"I know, I know, I know!"

It was stressing you out just as much, if not more.
What does he think telling you is going to do?

"I know you fuckin' know. But I swear to God if you leave me behind cause your gonna fail-"
The thought made him angry. Beneath the anger, though, was sadness. Just like everything else. Something he still isn't willing to admit.

"Not just that, you gotta think about places to rent. College."

He couldn't be rambling on more, which is completely unlike him. It was something he picked up around... A month ago.
Once the thought crossed his mind you might not be with him for graduation... It was just about game over.

"Katsuki," you tried to pull him out of it, moving to your knees to look at him.

He signed, wiping the sweat off his forehead and daring to look at you with such disorganization.

"I'm not going to fail."

A glare only crossed his face.
"I know your not."

"Cause I'm not gonna let you."

"If you still fail, I'll hate you forever. Got it?"

You swallowed, never have heard him say such words. Not with that look on his face, at least.
The look that he meant it. He absolutely meant it.

"Shit sucks right now, but you gotta remember how much you wanted to be here."

He grabbed your hands, gesturing you from off the ground.

"I swear if you forget.. I'm never gonna forgive you.."

He said this under his breath, yet helped you up.
You wiped your knees to rid them of dirt, feeling your heart sink as he spoke.

You tried not to be bothered though, "I get it."
You said, unzipping your track suit down to the tank top you wore.

"Thing's got dirt all over it." Katsuki huffed, taking it from your hand.

"So does my fucking grades."
He sucked his teeth, "Just means you have an opportunity to get better."
All you did was roll your eyes, snatching the coat back from him..
Soon to hear the 'stop' whistle be blowed, and then a scream to go back and change then get to the dorms by seven.

Katsuki didn't have enough time to ridicule you for rolling your eyes.
Now adays, he's less a boyfriend and more...

"A parent."

"What?" He wasn't sure if he heard you correctly.

"You're parenting me. Stop it, Katsuki."
You spoke sourly, and out into the air before you.

Katsuki didn't know how to respond.
Was that true?
Now, he was reflecting on the past few months. All the times he stood over your shoulder to make sure your work was pristine and you were getting the points you deserve. The points he knows your capeable of earning.
When he came up with a distinct schedule for your day to benefit your mental health.. which worked , but god do you hate him for it.
You don't... Hate him.
No, of course not.

Yet, somehow the spark of being in a relationship died off just a little while before present day.
When you stopped being so touchy feely, and more...
Isolated.

Kept to yourself.

He didn't know why this was, and still tries not to question it.. just simply marking it off as part of your mood swings that come around.

But you've changed.

He'd like to say it's not by a lot... And he wished it wasn't.

But now that you've broken down his walls .. it seems he needs to break down yours.

Watching your intense and grumpy stare into the space before you.

The last thing he said before parting ways was,
"Well maybe learn how to parent yourself."
