Shattered

Chapter Two

Leo was the first one up the next morning. Mikey was the next.

"Morning mikey." Leo said with a warm yet dark tone.

"Morning bro!" Mikey said noticing the dark side in Leo's voice. "Soo... How are you feeling."

"Great." Leo said, now hiding the darkness in his voice completely.

Mikey smiled before heading towards the kitchen to make breakfast.

Raph was the next one up. He walked past leo, not making eye contact with him. Leo did the same and headed towards the dojo to meditate.

Mikey peeked out of the kitchen watching the scene.

"*Sigh* this fight is a big one." Donnie said.

Mikey fell on the ground not expecting anyone to say anything. He calmed down when he saw that it was only Donnie.

"You ok?" Donnie asked helping his little brother up.

"Yeah..." Mikey answered.

~Time skip~

After splinter was up the family sat in the kitchen to eat their breakfast. There was absolute silence. Leo and raph glared at each other while eating their breakfast. This continued until mikey couldn't take it any longer and decided to say something.

"So... How's the food?" Mikey asked, smiling nervously.

"IT IS VERY TASTY!" Raph shouted angrily at mikey.

"You need to learn to control your anger." Leo shouted at raph.

"Look who is talking. Mr LAME-O-NARDO." Raph shouted back at leo.

'I think I just made it worse.' mikey thought to himself as Donnie signalled him to leave the kitchen. Mikey nodded back as him and Donnie left the kitchen leaving splinter to handle the situation.

Splinter walked out of the kitchen after a couple of minutes and sighed heavily. This was a sign to the two youngest brothers that even master splinter was not able to stop the fight between raph and leo.

*Crash*

Mikey, Donnie and M.S. rushed into the kitchen. The sight that they saw left their jaws opened.

Leo had thrown a plate at raph and now raph's face was bleeding.

Mikey, Donnie and M.S rushed to raph's side.

"Leo how could you?" Mikey shouted at leo, his eyes full of hattered.

Donnie helped raph up and started walking towards the lab glaring at leo.

Leo didn't say anything. He just looked away trying not to make eye contact with anyone.

"Leonardo, go to your room, RIGHT NOW!" Master splinter shouted at leo with a very very deep voice.

Leo didn't protest against Master splinter's command. He raced towards his room and locked the door.

He slid down the door and remember what happened back in the kitchen.

~flashback~

"I HATE YOU! I WISH YOU WOULD NEVER BE BORN!" Raph shouted at leo.

The moment those words came out of raph's mouth, leo snapped. Normally, leo would control his anger. But there is only so much that a turtle can handle until he snaps.

Leo grabbed a plate lying on the table and threw it towards raph not thinking about any consequences. He just wanted raph to stop talking. He wanted him to stop right now!

Raph didn't expect an attack from leo. So he wasn't able to dodge the plate and plate smashed on his face, bleeding his face in the process.

~End of flashback~

Leo covered his face in his legs and started to realise what he had just done. He definitely could have did something, ANYTHING else than throw a plate on raph's face.

All the anger that he had for raph was replaced by anger for himself.

He remembered something else that raph had said.

"You are a horrible leader!"

Leo didn't doubt that anymore. In fact he didn't doubt anything else that raph had shouted at him.

Tears rolled down his cheeks as he fell asleep sitting near the door.
