Mason POV
It's been a week since I split up with Lexie. I still can't believe she cheated on me. I genuinely thought she was different.I've been slacking at training and there's been times where I've missed it, I couldn't focus whilst I was there. I was heartbroken but all I could think of was her.
The boys were round to see me today as they're worried about me, I've not seen or spoke to them as much as I would normally do.
"So what happened between you and Lex?" Declan asked. "If it's a petty argument again, forget about it and go and get your girl back." He instructed, knowing what happened the last time me and Lexie argued. "It's not that simple." I said. The boys all had a puzzled look on their faces.
I told them everything that happened and they were shocked. "Are you sure? I didn't think Lexie was like that." John spoke. The other boys nodded in agreement. "Well clearly you don't know her." I yelled in frustration. The boys gave me a sympathetic smile. They stayed a bit longer before they left.

Today I went to training with the England boys, I didn't want to be here as I know they will bring up Lexie but I had no choice.
Sasha and Rebecca were at the ground with Ronnie. Ronnie is so cute and Phil is such a good dad. My heart broke a bit more, if that was even possible. I want kids one day, and I was thinking to have them with Lexie but clearly that's not going to happen.
"Hey Mason, it's good to see you." Sasha said. I slightly smiled. They both knew I still wasn't over Lexie. "How are you doing after the breakup?" Rebecca asked that dreaded question. "I'm slowly getting there I guess. I can't believe she could cheat on me, especially with him." I held back the tears. The girls looked confused. "What?" I asked raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean she cheated on you?" Rebecca asked.
I told the girls everything and just like the boys, they were confused.
"Mason, Lexie is telling the truth. We bumped into Harvey whilst we were out. He was begging Lexie to get back with him. She said she was happy with you, the boy who is her entire world, the boy that she loves. She would never ever do that to you. She knows from Harvey how bad it hurts to be cheated on." Sasha explained. I scoffed. "You're only defending her because she's your friend." "She's telling the truth. We would never defend a cheater." Rebecca argued.
Gareth came over to us. "Lexie would never hurt you, she wouldn't go back to Harvey even if he was the last man on earth." Gareth echoed what the girls said. "How is she?" I asked, nervously. "Not good. She's not left my house. She's a mess, it's like she has no purpose anymore. We've all tried talking to her but she doesn't want to hear it, she won't even listen to Abbie or Liv."
I felt my whole world crash in front of me. I felt guilty because I caused this.
"I broke up with her because I believed a stupid article who was looking to cause drama. I know she wouldn't go back to him." I cried, mentally kicking myself. "Give her a couple of days and try and talk to her. We all know you both are meant for each other, including Lexie." Gareth reassured me. I smiled slightly. "I don't think she wants to see me ever again." "Lexie will always want to see you. You've had such a positive impact on her life and she wouldn't want you out of it." I nodded knowing he was right.
We did training which was just as brutal as ever. It felt good to be back with the boys but Lexie was on my mind. Maybe I have made a mistake in ending it so quickly, I didn't even let Lexie explain properly.
Shit! What have I done?
