Chapter 27

Lexie POV
Mason left a few days ago to play in an England match, he should be home in a couple of days.

It was tough having Mason leave. We've had a tough few months and yes I've become a bit needy but can you blame me, I've lost our baby.

We've talked when we can, the time difference has made it a bit hard but we've both made the effort. The England boys of course won the match against Andorra 5-0. I am so proud of all of them. The boys knew they had to play well and the extra 3 points is worth Mason leaving. I of course FaceTime Mason after the game. I was elated for them and the boys definitely were happy. They were celebrating and they had every right to, I just wish I was there with them. Dad was also really happy, he's doing really well with the boys and they are growing and growing every day

I've been feeling ill recently and I've been sick quite a bit. I thought I had a stomach bug so I thought nothing of it. It's been that bad that I've ended up in bed for most of the week.

Today I finally got the strength to get out of bed. I'm feeling a bit better, I'm feeling a bit more like myself and I've not been sick which is a good sign. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and I looked horrendous. Thank god Mason isn't here to see me.

I was sat on the sofa, wrapped up in blankets whilst watching Friends. I heard the front door open and shut. A few moments later Mason walked in. My heart melted, he wasn't supposed to be home yet.

"Hey babe." Mason grinned. "Mase!" I was shocked. "What are you doing back? I thought you weren't due back until Thursday." "The boys and I came back early, plus I missed you." He explained, cuddling in next to me and then gently kissed my lips. "You have no idea how much I've missed you." I snuggled into him. "I'm so proud of you as well. You were amazing during that game." Mason kissed the top of my head. "I always play better when my lucky charm watches me." I smiled. "I'll always be your biggest cheerleader." Mason grinned and brought my face closer to his and kissed me.

We spent the rest of the day in bed together, having a chilled night. These were the longest few days but I'm glad my boy is back with me. Now it's time for me to put myself right and get better.
