I whole-ass opened NEO to write this one.
In just one look at the clothing item in front of her, Shoka Sakurane was in love.

She scans the different items on the shelf. There's so many options, but she can't decide what to get. While everything is super appealing, don't her wrong, they just aren't the one.
The black beret and the blue denim newspaper hat are super cute, but she doesn't like the way hats fit around her head. Just a little too constricting and tight. But she still has to resist the urge to try them on and pose in the mirror. She's not that lame, as if anything to do with Gatto Nero could be lame, which it can't, but she doesn't want the weird cringey feeling that comes with it.
There's the mid-calf and ankle boots that have the perfect mix of black and pink coloring that would look super cool with the fishnet stockings with the lace at the top. But she thinks that Ayano would have a heart attack if she were caught wearing them. Shiba would approve, though, and that would start an argument about what girls her age should be wearing.
...yeah, best not get any of those, then.
There's a small hip pack hanging off a shelf, more like it untouched around it. It reminds her a little too much of a fanny pack and she promptly moves past it. That, and past a black, puffy, Gatto Nero jumpsuit. Who still wore those these days?
There's a pair of dull red frayed cargo pants. It comes with a belt, too, which isn't something you see very often. The pockets look big and the clothes look overall comfy. But it's also cargo pants and the color reminds her a little too much of Big Su's RG contact... Gyoji? Ryuji? Wait, no... Ryoji, that was it. The clothes remind her a bit too much of Ryoji for comfort.
There's a pair of asymmetrical jeans that she thinks that Hishima would wear. A possible birthday, Christmas, hey today is the anniversary of your death gift? But then again, there's tears in the knees, so that idea is thrown straight out the window.
There's a denim miniskirt that's a little too pink and too short for her taste to get. But she almost splurges on it anyway because it's Gatto Nero. And the tag team of designers were genius enough to put pockets on it. And not the tiny, can only fit a few hundred yen coins, kind of small. She could see herself put coupons, tiny charms, money, gift cards, and possibly even her phone in it if she were to Tetris it well enough. But again, the bright pink coloring and the size of it turn her away.
The asymmetrical miniskirt that she had seen in ads had looked right up her alley, with the black coloring and plaid pattern. But she also wears a purple plaid dress that would cover the skirt and make everything look weird, so she refrains from getting it because then she'd also have to buy more (not that she isn't opposed-- she just likes her dress too much). The skirt is also sold out so she doesn't worry too much about it.
The bell-sleeved two-piece on display looks cute, and the puzzle piece designs reminds her of a necklace that was super popular when she was in elementary school. But she can't entirely make out the design on the skirt (though it lowkey highkey reminds her of CAT, but they haven't released anything in a while) and too much of her midriff would show. Ayano might freak out over that, too, but she could point out that Ayano shows too much of her chest which is worse and the three-year age gap between the two of them.
A red and black zippered shirt that's more like a jacket than anything else would fit the cargo pants a little too perfectly. But it's just not Shoka's style so she skips it. Tsugumi's brother would have liked it, were he still alive, or rather, not erased.
There's a clothing item that's a little out of place compared to the rest of the clothes. A simple brown shirt jacket with stripes only a slightly darker shade that makes it look natural. And Shoka kinda likes it, even if she'd never wear it. Out of complete curiosity, she checks if it would give her a boost of any kind, and to her surprise and the shirt's credit, she would be able to tank a few extra hits. But Shoka never gets hit in fights because she's quick and she never gets into one anyway, besides the occasional Noise encounter.
Still, she notes it for later and moves on.
She decidedly does not understand the buckle sleeve shirt. It's would be a simple black long-sleeved turtleneck were it not for the sleeves being detachable by a single dark pink-ish red belt. Why only one? Why not just use a zipper? Wouldn't that be so much healthier for the clothes? She shakes her head and moves on to the next clothing item.
It's really similar to what the shopkeeper, Miki Saionji, is wearing, just a kind of an ugly yellow. It's a classic off-the-shoulder top, but one side at the bottom hitches up a bit. It's not really Shoka's style and not what she's looking for, but really she's just window shopping, but it's still insanely cute.
Out of the corner of her eye, she spots a little spot where pins are being sold. Hey, maybe she could use those in battle. And they're pins, so they'd be small and not throw off her style. She picks up one and easily determines the psychic shotgun psych. And, hey did that have the vampire skill, too?
But she's not at all good at timing those types of hits, even if the vampire ability stands out.
She picks up another, now with Mr. Mew's face in a pink and blue gradient with a heart cut out in the center, and detects the rare sensation. This pin was part of an ensemble? She reads the inscriptions. Six felines, six pins.
Wait, hold the phone for a moment.
The Gatito brand was popular a year ago but stopped releasing products. It was theorized by everyone that CAT was the owner of that brand since a lot of their artwork was featured with it. And Gatito had one pin set that you only heard rumors about if you were living in the Shibuya UG and liked to gossip.
Did she just stumble onto something as powerful as the Darklit Planets or Holy Field ensembles?
She grabs a similar-looking pin next to it, and she feels the power from both increasing. Holy shit she did.
Okay, she has to get these now. She'll collect the entire pin set and get the chance to really show off.
She looks at the prices and her eyes nearly drop out of her head. She winces and puts the pins back. Why were they so expensive!? She didn't even have a tenth of the price of the cheaper one. And the more expensive one was over three times as much!
She frowns. She hadn't found anything she really wanted yet. She turns to go grab the brown shirt jacket where she had left it beforehand, and stops dead.
What the hell was that?
It was a Mr. Mew hoodie. Big open hood droopy cat ears, one with an earring. Red belt across the middle, cute and elegant cuffed sleeves, and bam. A cat tail.
It was perfect.

Might be late for tomorrow's prompt.
