I tried to stick to the prompt at much as possible, but it did kinda run from me a bit.

Nothing like bonding over discovering new fashion choices to keep their sanity, eh?

-xXx-

Coco hates things that are gross. And anything dark and creepy and scary. So basically anything that's not bright pink and positive.

The dark? Ew, who knows what it's in there and where it's been, deadly or not. Death? Wow, how glum do you have to be to think about it that much? Bugs and insects? Some of them were fine, like butterflies and ladybugs and bumblebees. But moths that eat your clothes, spiders that lurk creepily in the corner, and those long centipedes that have way too many legs? No thanks. And wasps and hornets are just plain mean, anyway.

Math and science are gross, too. The terms just fly way over her head are confusing and they might not be involved in her future were it not for her dream.

Her dream? Make the cutest more adorable candy shop in Shibuya, of course! That, and becoming a princess sounds heavenly. So, she needs to know the math for the business stuff, her parents had insisted. And she would need to know food-related chemistry stuff if she wanted to make her own candy.

Oh well, beggars can't be choosers, after all. She would drag herself through mud if she had to.

The other kids in her class tease her about her goal, with it being "girly" after all. The boys tease her about being super girly and the girls tease her about wanting to be a princess and how unrealistic it is. Well, what do they know? They've never tried, have they!?

The only people who don't openly tease her for her dream are her parents, who clearly think she's in a phase, and her teachers, who aren't supposed to say anything to her face. But she can tell from their expressions.

Fine! She doesn't need their help! She'll prove that she can do this herself!

...except for the fact that she still doesn't understand how to do multiplication and division by hand. Why the teacher insists that they learn how to do it on paper and won't let them use a calculator is beyond her.

She understands the teaching part, but they totally didn't need to have them put it into practice and memorize the times tables.

Science is easy for the moment, but at higher grades than what she's currently at, she knows that it'll get way harder.

...she'll ask for help when she needs it. For now, she dresses up in bright reds and yellows, what she imagines the colors of the wrappers of her future candies will be.

一一一一

By the time Coco is in middle school, she still has the same dreams as before and they are just as open. A few classmates had tried to bully her, but they were forced to stop once she acquired blackmail.

She actually garners a bit of a reputation of someone not to be messed with, somehow. She hears rumors of biting mean remarks and even a few saying that she's insane, referencing her dreams and her weird way of speaking. Most people avoid her anyway. But she's seen a few people in her year stare at her in awe.

But that's not what's important. What's important is her brand-new dream. To become a fairy!

Fairies are free and do not care about anyone's opinion. Like, her totez loser classmates won't be able to touch her once she gets that far. And she'll laugh in their faces and raise the prices of the candy that they'll inevitably want to buy.
