This one is a bit shorter than I usually aim for, but adding more would just seem like I'm stalling and this one doesn't really need to be all that long.

Their biggest similarity is that they desperately need each other.

They're a duo. Eri designs, Shiki sews. Eri grabs sketchbooks and pencils while Shiki grabs fabrics and needles.

They talk about the practicality of different designs and how that translates to fabrics back and forth, agreements made, and the occasional ultimatum.

Shiki watches over Eri's shoulder as her ideas are drawn out onto pages, adding small details where she thinks they should be added. Eri watches from a distance as Shiki brings the ideas to life.

Eri's creations are brought to life with a pencil. Shiki a needle.

Eri is loud, bold, and draws people in. Shiki is quiet, modest, and watches crowds gather from a distance, not having the courage to join them. Eri isn't afraid to show off her body with form-fitting clothes. Shiki can't go anywhere without a baggy jacket to be able to hide inside.

Shiki wants to have the ability to create complete designs that everyone will love. Eri wants the talent to brighten a person's day by giving them something to show off.

Both of them want something the other has. They offer something the other can't. They balance each other out.

But despite the differences, they have their similarities, too.

They adore and yell about the same bands, going to concerts together. They love the same foods and love the same animals. They understand when the other needs something and what that is.

They're both greatly welcomed in each other's families, and they have the same favorite brands and hang-out spots. They're both only-childs and they both don't feel the need to be protected by another person out of the blue.

They have the same phone wallpaper, a selfie of the both of them. It's a snapshot of their favorite moment in their friendship. They have the same dream that they both can work together to create.

Their biggest similarity is that they desperately need each other.
