Dream spent the next day attempting to help out. Philza kept scolding him at every attempt and it got to the point where the piglin brute had to intervene. Which Dream kept thinking about because of how Techno had picked up with no problems and that left a blush on his face.

Now, he was grumbling in the corner where he was put in timeout along with the small piglin boy. He pouted and his tail waved around in his annoyance before he let out a yelp as it was suddenly grabbed.

Turning around he greeted with the awe of Tommy, who looked up at him and asked, "Can you swim?"

Dream nodded, it felt like an obvious answer, but the kid was probably from the Nether after all.

"Can you teach me?"

He tilted his head before deciding to be honest, "I'm... not sure."

After all normal piglins couldn't, so he wasn't sure if they kid could even learn. He contemplated it a bit before looking down at the kid who looked very sadden by that answer... Dream could try at least, right?

Making up his mind he voiced as such, "I can try."

"Let's go then!" The kid jumped to his feet with a big smile on his face.

"Uh..." He looked around, "Don't you think we should tell your dad or something?"

Tommy shook his head with a frown, "He's overprotective and probably won't let you."

"I'm not sure, " Dream looked over to where the brute was standing as he continued, "that I want him to loose his trust in me."

The little piglin kept his frown as he grabbed his wrist and tugged him. He swears he didn't yelp at the sudden movement as he was dragged away. What did they feed this kid? Sure, he might be in a little need for some water, but this was a bit much.

Before he knew it, he was being thrown into a river. The shock of the cold water meeting his skin was enough to make him glad that he had gills. He took a moment to get adjusted to it before breaching the water. As he did, Dream's head snapped towards the sound of footsteps. Techno was rushing over, he probably heard the splash after all.

Tommy, didn't seem to notice however, and shouted, "Now, catch me!"

His mind went on overdrive as he had to move quickly to catch the kid. As his arms wrapped around him before he could go under, Dream brought the kid to his chest, hoping the younger couldn't hear how fast his heart was beating because of the anxiety he caused.

Quickly, but carefully, he swam towards the shore, handing the kid up to Techno who stared down at them disapprovingly. He took the kid and walked off without a word. Hopefully, he wasn't mad at him, that would suck.

Heaving himself up on the shore, he just laid down in the sand, taking a moment to breathe. His eyes slipped closed as he felt the sun beat down on him. His clothes soaking wet and a bit uncomfortable as his sweatshirt stuck to his skin as well as the sand now.

"I can't imagine that's in anyway comfortable."

Dream startled up and was met with a chuckling Philza.

Unsure what to say, the other just helped him up and out of the heavy sweatshirt. So now Dream just wore his formfitting black turtleneck along that had been underneath it.

"You wouldn't happen to have a change of clothes would you?"

"Figured you would ask at some point." The older laughed once again, "Follow me."

So he did, but as they got up on the porch, Philza stopped him before he entered.

"I'll get you a towel, wait here."

Dream just responded with a nod and as he waited, he turned to look over at Techno's house before turning back after seeing nothing. Strange, he thought that someone had been staring at him.

Techno knew today wasn't going to be fun as he had to farm with two rambunctious kids following him around. Ranboo was more than content to sit and read on the porch thankfully.

Tommy had already decided to terrorize the chickens and had been put in timeout and Philza had him put their guest in timeout as the axolotl was very insistent on trying to help out.

Then there was Tubbo who was currently testing him by climbing up his leg as he was trying to start harvesting his potatoes. He looked over at Philza, who was taking care of the wheat fields, before humming in thought.

An idea formed as he realized that he had to pry Tubbo off of him somehow. Knowing his son, Techno decided to point over at his neighbour and friend.

"Philza said he wasn't going to make pancakes tomorrow." He whispered.

It was a obvious lie. Philza always made pancakes on Tuesdays, but the little hoglin didn't know that.

Eyes wide in shock, he frowned, and stomped over to bother the other, who shot him a glare before reassuring the kid, that, yes we're still going to have pancakes tomorrow.

As he tried once again to start his work on his field, he heard a splash come from the river. His head instantly snapped over to look for where Tommy was put in timeout. Not seeing him or Dream, he looked over to the river just in time to see his son throw the poor man into it.

Pissed, he started walking over. Philza and Tubbo stopped and watched as he went, Ranboo even looked up from his book to see what was happening.

Everyone was watching, just in time for Tommy to shout, "Now, catch me!"

Techno found himself walking faster with Tubbo running behind him now. As he reached the shore, he saw how Dream held Tommy close to his chest and tucked under his chin, his body tense. The axolotl relaxed only a bit as he swam over to where Techno stood. His posture showed fear and Techno was inclined to believe that he hadn't been okay with Tommy's plan.

Still, without a word, he took Tommy in his arms. The kid was pouting, apparently hoping to go behind his back for a bit longer. He quickly left, going into a dad mode as Tommy was now soaking wet.

As he sent the kid to his room with a towel and a goal to change clothes, he turned to look out the window and saw Dream wearing a formfitting black turtleneck, his sweatshirt draped over his arm. Techno couldn't deny that it suited him, so he wasn't going to. He was broken out of his thoughts as he watched Philza gave the other a towel as to not track in any water. Which Techno just kind of decided to clean up the water once Tommy had tracked it in.

Dream turned to look over at his house and Techno quickly moved out of the view of the window, a light pink blush spreading over his face. He slowly peered back to possibly catch another look at the other again, but was startled by Ranboo speaking up.

"Why are you staring at him?" He asked from where he sat on top of the couch, which was where he usually sat to see out the window.

Tubbo then piped in, "Ohhh, dad deffo has a crush!"

Techno just covered his face with both hands as he blushed and groaned in disdain over his observant kids.
