Everything was starting to get to him from the smells to the sounds. The longer he stayed in the interrogation room, the more he felt claustrophobic. Leaving his brother alone, Dean quickly left the room and walked out of the police station. Sam, on the other hand, had noticed right off the bat that something was wrong with Dean.
"Excuse me," said Sam. "I'll be right back," the boy nodded, his head still slightly nervous. Sam got up from the chair and walked out of the station to find that Dean was standing outside. "Dean?"
"What?" Dean asked, trying not to show he felt like he was trapped inside a box. "Don't give me that look, I'm fine," he lied.
"Stop lying, you aren't fine," Sam said. "You've been acting strange all morning, first you eat bacon and sausage-like you were starving, then you take mine," he continued. "Don't even get me started on how you acted before that or even now," he kept going. "What the hell is going on with you?"
"If I say I'm fine then I'm fine," Dean responded. There was another sound in his throat, it surprised him, and wait was that growling? "Just forget it, we have to finish this case," he said, changing the topic. Sam narrowed his eyes at his brother knowing that there was something more to this than Dean was letting on. "Dean, if something happened during last night's attack you need to tell me,"
"I already told you that I'm fine, he didn't bite me I'm just in a bad mood, now enough sharing and caring we have to get back to work," Dean said sternly. Before Sam could respond Dean walked away from him and acted like none of the sounds or smells were bothering him. For a few minutes, Sam didn't follow thinking that Dean had been replaced with a shapeshifter but after forming a plan in his mind he went back inside. Dean was back in the room talking with the kid who was beginning to get shaky. "Is there anything you can tell me about this man?"
"I can't tell you much, I only remember getting attacked," the kid explained. "Something bit or scratched me after I woke up not remembering anything," Dean listened to all this and felt a few waves of panic run through his body. But he couldn't dwell on his worries when he could still prove them wrong.
"What's your name kid?" Dean asked.
"Alex," the kid named Alex responded. "I can't remember my last name,"
"Okay Alex, has your memory improved at all?" Dean asked. "Because my partner and I think the man who attacked you gave you something," Sam wasn't sure if Dean was trying to find answers or scare the kid. Because it seemed like he was doing a bit of both. Alex thought deeply as he started to remember seeing something or someone standing over him. A man with black hair and gray eyes. Probably about 24 years of age and carrying a small vial.
"There is one," said Alex. "I remember seeing this...man with black hair and gray eyes," he explained. "He had some sort of vial, with a strange liquid in it,"
"Alex, it's most likely that this man drugged you and that's why you can't remember anything," Dean told him. He tried his best not to scare Alex but the teen was already freaking out after hearing that.
"Take it easy Alex," Sam said to him trying to keep him calm. He forgot all his suspicions for the time being knowing that Alex might transform if they weren't careful. "How about this, we'll give you a break, go ahead and get a room in a hotel, we'll talk to you once we find your siblings,"
"You'd find them?" Alex asked.
"Yes, don't worry," Sam responded and handed Alex some cash. Alex thanked Sam and got up from the table to leave the room. After that was out of the way, the brothers had gone back to their bunker to figure out what they were dealing with. The minute they got back and Sam had gotten on the internet to research anything on the skinwalker and what the alpha skinwalker was planning to do. As he was doing the research Dean had gotten sweaty and started taking his tie off.
"Is it hot in here?" Dean asked. "Because I'm burning up,"
"Dude, we have the air conditioner on, are you sure you're okay?" Sam questioned his brother. But Dean didn't have a chance as he raced toward his bedroom. "Dean?!" Sam called out as he followed his brother. By the time he got to Dean's room, his brother had slammed the door in his face. "Dean?!" Sam waited wondering why his brother hadn't said anything, he leaned against the door hopefully listening for Dean. Suddenly, he heard scratching on the other side of the door. A confused Sam pushed the door open and saw that Dean's sheets had been shredded. "What?" He was surprised at the sight. It looked like a wolf had gotten inside Dean's room before he could think about for too long a large Shiba Inu jumped on him. Sam was caught off guard by the sudden surprise attack and tried to escape, but the dog refused to let him get up or move. This was it he was going to die, and at hands or rather paws of a skinwalker. Sam looked around the dog's neck and recognized the amulet that he had given to his brother.
"Dean?" He asked uncertainly whether his brother was in his normal state of mind. "Umm, you're still in there right?" Sam wished he had asked anything else but his mind was still processing this whole thing. As if registering what Sam had said, Dean stepped off his brother and sat down whimpering with his ears pulled back. At least he doesn't want to eat me, Sam thought to himself as he got up. "I thought you didn't get bit, how did this happen?" He asked.
