Bardulf was disappointed when his connection with Dean was momentarily cut short. It seemed like Sam had managed to outsmart him, he growled in anger but was cut off by a high-pitched cry.

"Please, I want to go home," Kara cried from her spot in the cave. Her feet were bolted to the rock wall and her dress was stained with dirt.

"No little princess you are staying with me, " Bardulf said, kneeling down to her. He played with her shriveled hair, and she turned away.

"No, I want my big brother!" She screamed. Bardulf laughed and told her that her big brother wasn't coming because he was already here. Before the alpha could continue he picked up the sounds of footsteps with his enhanced hearing. He smiled knowing it was Sam and Dean wouldn't be too far behind.

"And we have guests," Bardulf said, turning around to face the uninvited visitor. Sam shot a silver bullet past Bardulf which ricochet off the cavern walls. Sam stepped into the dimly lit cave cocking the next bullet into the barrel.

"It's over Bardulf," Sam said. "That first shot was a warning, the second one won't miss,"

"Hmm, I figured you would show up Sammy, " Bardulf mocked. "Now be careful or you'll end up like my siblings, " he continued pointing inside the cave. Upon hearing what Bardulf had said he knew that the girl was trapped somewhere further inside the cave and not near the entrance.

"I've had it with skinwalkers," Sam said and shot at Bardulf but the bullet had practically missed when another figure had arrived and pushed Bardulf out of the way. "What?!" Sam responded and realized who the figure had been. "Dean?! What the hell?!"

"I'm sorry but I can't let you hurt my alpha," Dean responded like it was no big deal.

"Glad that you finally came to your senses Dean," Bardulf said. "And at a moment's notice too," he turned toward Sam. "Now then, Sam, if you want to get to me, you'll have to get through your brother," Dean growled, flashing his blue eyes toward Sam.

"I am not going to shoot my brother," Sam said, Bardulf just laughed knowing that was Sam's main weakness. Having at least one of the Winchester brothers was more than a deal-breaker. "Dean, If you are still there, I need you to move out of the way," Sam had high hopes that his older brother was still in there somewhere. Nothing seemed to work, however, as Bardulf laughed evilly.

"In that case, you're screwed," Bardulf said "Dean, you know what to do," Bardulf backed away to watch from the shadows as Dean turned toward his brother and attacked Sam knocking the gun out of his hands. The gun skittered against the rocky wall as Sam fell backward. Even though he didn't want to kill his brother, he knew that at some moments he had to fight against his family. Especially in this line of work, luckily Sam had a silver pocket knife in his pocket and retrieved it in time to cut Dean's cheek. Dean cried out and stumbled back; his cheek had been burning but it was already healing.

"Sorry big brother, but I had to," Sam responded, as he started to get up to retrieve his gun, Dean quickly walked over to Sam and stepped on his arm. Sam winced as he was trying to pull his arm from under Dean's foot but his brother had been much stronger as a skinwalker.

"Sorry little brother but you were getting in his way," Dean said. "You could have shot me when you had the chance,"

"Dean...Don't.." Sam couldn't say much more before Dean kicked him hard in the head causing everything to go black. When he came to Sam could hear whispering coming from outside and he figured it was either coming from Dean or the Alpha. He also heard the sound of crying and it didn't take him long to find the source. A little girl who he assumed was Kara gazed up at him like he was a big hungry monster.
