Summer of 1975

Elvira was on the sidewalk in front of Grimmauld Place where Sirius told her to meet him.

She kept on switching her balance between her feet, anxiously waiting for him to come out.

Elvira then heard the front door open, so she turned around and walking down the steps was Sirius Black in black ripped jeans, doc martens, a white t-shirt, and a black leather jacket on along with silver rings.

She couldn't help but grow flustered at the sight. She had to admit he was very attractive, and she understood why half of the population at Hogwarts was in love with him.

"Hey El." Sirius said with a smile.

"Hey Sirius."

"You look pretty."

Elvira looked down at what she was wearing. She was wearing a pleated, black plaid mini skirt, with a white shirt, blue cardigan, and a gold butterfly necklace.

"I look the same as always." Elvira said with a frown.

"Exactly." Sirius responded with a wink.

Elvira rolled her eyes at him playfully before reaching out and lacing their fingers together.

As they started walking, Sirius looked down at their hands and smiled.

"So where is that we're going?" Elvira asked while looking at Sirius.

"That darling, is a surprise."

And with that Sirius continued leading the way to, wherever it was that they were going.

After a few minutes of walking, they were in, what Elvira presumed was a muggle town. She stared at the different muggle stores and muggles with fascination.

Sirius watched her from the corner of his eye and smiled.

"Wow." Elvira muttered.

"I know, it's cool right."

"Very."

"But El, there was actually one place in particular that I wanted you to see." Sirius said as he started dragging Elvira into a different direction.

"Here close your eyes."

Elvira did as he said and let Sirius guide her into the shop.

"Okay, open."

Elvira opened her eyes and gasped.

"It's a bookstore." Elvira said.

"Yeah, Remus told me about one time, and I knew that you were always fascinated by muggle books. Also how you mentioned that your not allowed to go anywhere since you and your parents got into the big argument so I figured-" Sirius started to ramble, but Elvira tackled him into a hug.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Elvira exclaimed happily.

Sirius smiled into the the young woman's hair.

"No problem El."

Once they pulled apart, Elvira then began exploring the bookshop, and once she found Sirius again, 30 minutes had passed and she had 9 different books in her hands.

Sirius' eyes went wide and he raised his eyebrows.

"I couldn't choose just one, as is I had to leave behind seven others." Elvira responded nonchalantly with a shrug.

"Oh yeah, you and Remus would get along great." Sirius said with a grin.

Sirius shook his head and grabbed the books from her hands. The two then went to the register and Sirius pulled out money to pay.

As the bookstore clerk was scanning the items he smiled.

"Your girlfriend has good taste."

Elvira began blushing profusely, and Sirius froze.

"O-oh, s-she's not my girlfriend." He stuttered out.

The bookstore clerk looked between the two with raised eyebrows and smiled.

"Right, sorry my bad."

Elvira and Sirius left the bookstore and continued walking around the muggle town in awkward silence.

"So." Sirius began.

"So."

"Did you hear what the book clerk said?"

"Yup."

"Okay."

"That's crazy. I mean he though that we were Y
y'know-"

"Together?" Elvira spoke.

"Yeah. That's-"

"Crazy."

"Right." Sirius said with a nervous laugh.

And although the two pretended to agree, they couldn't help but wonder, would it really be that crazy?
