Ouch! That was what I thought when the bull came. It looked like a bull and a man. I thought of Arishtasura, who tried to kill Krishna but ended up being killed by him. I was shocked. I never thought that I could see the demon again. But that demon died. Confusion. That was what engulfed me along with the pain after the horn stabbed me. Before I blacked out, I saw two figures nearing me. And I blacked out.

When I opened my eyes, I could feel myself lying on something soft, maybe a bed. I tried to get up, but pain shot like hell near my abdomen. Wiping a tear off my eye, I slowly turned to my right to see a boy, maybe 15 or 16 standing next to me with a notepad and pen in his hands.

"Do not move. You need to rest, or else the wound will open.", the boy said with such conviction, I doubted if he was a doctor of sorts. But he looked younger than me. I was barely entering college and here I find a boy talking like an experienced doctor. I felt like hallucinating and dropped my head onto the pillow with pain and confusion.

"Are you all right?", the boy asked again as he sprinkled some water over my face. My eyes opened wide, and I could see that I was not hallucinating.

"W-where am I?", I asked, pain shooting up with each word I spoke.

"You are in the infirmary. I am Pranjal. Nice to meet you, Mr. Sivakumar.", the boy said.

"Call me Hari. What happened?", I asked barely in a whisper.

"A minotaur. You were stabbed by its horns.", Pranjal said.

"A what? I—I thought it was", I had to take a deeper breath to tell the next word, "Arishtasura"

"Who?", Pranjal asked back.

"You know.... The demon sent by Kamsa ...... kill Krishna....", I was tired and didn't speak a word further. He looked aghast but remained calm.

"Relax. Your diaphragm was ruptured. The stomach had a small hole. Everything is healing fast. You will be fully healed in two days' time.", Pranjal said and I barely heard anything.

"College? The first day?", I asked back in a whisper.

"The college has been informed. You shall rest here. Your roommate will be informed and he shall visit you soon. Now, rest. If you rest without any sudden movements, there is a chance that you will be cured faster.", Pranjal explained.

"Thank You.", I replied weakly.

"Here, have this.", Pranjal said and gave me a square of something. It looked like a pastry. But when I took a bite of it, it reminded me of my Paati's food (A/N: Paati is a Tamil word for Grandmother). Oh! I missed her fried potatoes and Sambar Rice.

"How did it taste like?", Pranjal asked.

"My grandmother's food. Oh! I missed it.", I said.

"Good. See you at dinner.", Pranjal said.

"What time is it?", I asked back.

"About one in the afternoon.", Pranjal said and left the infirmary. I stared at the ceiling, reminiscing my last days with my father.

"Hari. I am so proud of you. You are now going to college!! Oh! It felt yesterday when I took you in my arms for the first time. Your mother would be so proud.", my father had said as we entered the airport to board a flight to San Francisco.

"How did I get admission to this college, Appa? In San Francisco?", I asked my father back. (A/N: Appa is a Tamil word for Father)

He looked conflicted. As if he knew the answer but was thinking about whether to say it or not. After a few awkward minutes, he said, "I got help from your mother."
