Percy Jackson and the Incarnate- 1: The beginning

CHAPTER 9 POV: Percy Jackson

It was Tartarus again. I saw how Damasen and Iapetus/Bob were destroyed by Tartarus while I and Annabeth froze in horror and helplessness. Then Tartarus used his sword to kill...... I was shattered. I cried. I wept. Tartarus gave a hollow villainous laugh before killing me. I fell into the void, trashing in the darkness.

I woke to see Hari next to me. I was startled, which startled him, and water spilled to the floor. He was concerned and I felt guilty. He convinced me to go to the lake. I used my water powers to wipe off the water and we went to the lake. I felt my mind clear near the presence of water. We had a small talk. I was surprised when he took my hand. A warmth spread through me. I felt calmer. I decided to try out Yoga. Maybe my energetic lifestyle needs a calming influence.

I had made a decision. Tomorrow, when my friends arrive, I would tell them what happened down there. I slept peacefully after Hari suggested I focus on my breathing. It worked a little and my mind cleared a bit. Maybe, Annabeth chose Yoga to clear her mind. Oh, Wise girl!! I hope you are not in my situation. I was lucky to have Hari. He looked like a caring person. But still, I could not see who his godly parent could be. I thought it to be Apollo. But today's events made me think. What if..... no way! That is not possible. I left the thoughts in the backburner as I went to the realm of Morpheus.

The next day, I went straight to Annabeth. I told her my decision. She was surprised and we had a small debate. But I won! What a surprise. I won against my wise girl. She chuckled when I mocked her. But in the end, we decided to tell everything to our friends. They deserve to know it.

"What about Hari?", She asked.

"Absolutely. He was the one who convinced me. He has a way with emotions, like Grover.", I said.

We went to breakfast and saw Hari devouring his food. Frank and Hazel were sitting together with their cohort and were in deep discussion. Leo, Piper, Grover, Nico, Will and Thalia were due to arrive for lunch; Thalia had to plead to Artemis to allow her here.

Me and Wise girl spent our time in New Rome till lunchtime. We had a blast. We went swimming in the lake. We then ate Hot Chocolate with Lemurian Spice. We then talked about our college and to shock me, I was in such a good mood, that I decided to finish my homework by noon. Annabeth had a heart attack. She helped me to finish the homework. I was still contemplating what made me do things I hated to do.

The conch sounded, signaling lunch break. We went to a tree in the field of Mars. We set up a picnic there. We and Hazel were the first to arrive, followed by Hari.

"Where were you?", I asked him.

"In the infirmary. Helping Pranjal. He told me he could not come due to some important work.", he said.

I felt bad. I had forgotten to invite Pranjal. With Hari, I got to know more about him. He was a sweet guy.

After some time, a big shadow was cast over us. I saw above and smiled. I laughed at seeing Hari's reaction. It was of pure shock.

"That is my friend Leo. I would let him introduce himself, but he is the son of Hephaestus. So, he has a way with machines. This is Festus, the Bronze Dragon.", I explained. He just nodded with his jaws open.

Festus landed and Leo jumped out of it with Calypso. Both wore similar Jeans and Tee-shirts.

"Leo. Looks like you've grown an inch or two.", I mocked.

He pouted. "Ha. Very Funny Percy!"

I and Annabeth chuckled.

"Leo. Meet Hari. Hariharan Sivakumar. My roommate in college.", I said and had a hard time pronouncing his name correctly.
