My son!!! My own demigod Son. I still remember the day I met his father. We were so similar in perspectives and thoughts, he attracted me to his simplicity, modesty and calmness. I don't care what the other gods think. I would help him all the time.
I flashed back to the hearth in Camp Half-Blood. After a few seconds, Percy came along with Hari. I saw Chiron go and meet them. Percy still had a confused look on his face. It was time that I officially claimed Hari.
I went near Chiron. I could hear him ask, "Percy! Is this a new demigod?" to which Percy just nodded.
"May I know your good name?", Chiron asked.
"Hariharan Sivakumar. You can call me Hari.", my son replied with respect.
"Do you know who your godly parent is?", he asked. I chuckled. I was dying to see Chiron's reaction.
"Uhm....", was the response Hari gave. Percy just looked like a statue, not believing that he could disclose whatever he witnessed in the throne room.
"Well. Not to worry. Your parent shall claim you tonight by the campfire.", Chiron said as he led Hari past the barrier. Time to claim!
As Hari stepped inside the camp borders, I flashed my symbol over him. The same warm orange coloured symbol of the hearth. Chiron's look was one for the ages. I barely managed to control my laughter. The older campers were flabbergasted while the newer campers were confused because of the multiple gasps. After ensuring that he was not hallucinating, Chiron reluctantly declared, "Hail Hariharan Sivakumar. Son of Hestia, Goddess of Home and Hearth, Guardian of hope.", where he pronounced his name poorly.
"Please do not use my full name if you can't pronounce it. Call me Hari. That is enough.", My son huffed.
I came to him. He looked at me in a confused state. "Welcome son. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood.", I greeted.
"Is my mother an eight-year-old child?", He asked incredulously. I laughed.
"Of course not. We gods can change our appearance and age.", I said and changed to a woman in her early forties. Hari calmed a little.
"Welcome my son. You being my son have the ability to manipulate fire, summon and cook home-cooked food and even inspire hope among others. You are the glue to the family and you can settle any disputes with ease among the family.", I explained.
"Thank you?!", he said, more like he asked. It was a lot for him to digest. It would take time.
"Chiron. Did you build a cabin for me?", I asked expectantly.
Chiron looked to the ground; I think in shame. "No, my lady.", he muttered.
"Sorry?", I asked incredulously.
"No, My lady. We didn't think that we would need a Cabin for you...", he paled when he saw me angry.
"Lady Hestia. We apologize. We overlooked your need. I promise to contact Annabeth and create a cabin for you as soon as possible. We can....", Percy said and then his eyes lit up for a moment, "We can, if you permit, use your cabin to host the unclaimed demigods till they are claimed. This way, the Hermes cabin can have less congestion", he suggested.
I calmed down a little. Hari looked scared. I felt guilty. I wanted to show how caring I am and the first trait I show him is my anger! Way to go!
"I accept the proposition, Percy!! But, no need for Annabeth to come. I'll take care of this.", I said and I snapped my fingers. Next to the Hearth, a simple cabin appeared, so the cabin is like in the centre of all other cabins.
