Today I had a day off. Being the king of Olympus, I rarely had such days. So, I was trying to spend some time with Hera, who always accused me of being unfaithful. I mean come on! We are gods! Siring demigods is one of our privileges and I wanted to just use the privilege to the fullest extent.

As we were in the palace, I suddenly felt a huge surge of energy. I never felt such energy, not even during the giant war in Athens. Hera was scared yet confused. I located the source to Camp Jupiter. I flashed to the throne room and sent a bolt of lightning to convene the council. Oh! I hate the meetings. Bickering all the time even after fully knowing that my decisions are best, maybe next to my favourite daughter Athena, but hey! She is the goddess of wisdom and Strategy. It was only natural that she was smarter than me. Don't you dare tell this to anyone or I'll smite you with my bolts!!

All the Olympians arrived. I also called Hades and Hestia, for their counsel as well. Poseidon and Athena flashed later, and as always; my 'bright' nincompoop of a son Apollo comes the latest. But his face was serious. I never saw him as serious as he was now. Behind him were a few demigods. I identified Percy Jackson, son of my brother. Oh! I envy Poseidon for siring such a demigod. He surpassed Heracles by a wide margin. I lost the bragging rights for siring the greatest hero of all time. Behind them were two more demigods. One looked like a Roman but the other looked neither Greek nor Roman.

"We are here to discuss the attack on Camp Jupiter. Athena and Poseidon had informed me about what happened, but I want to know what happened in real. Hermes, summon Iris now.", I thundered. Hermes flashed out and came with Iris within seconds.

I toss a drachma to Iris with which she catches gratefully. "O Iris, Goddess of the rainbow, please show what happened in the battle today at camp Jupiter."

When I saw the flashback, I was beyond shock. I was scared. Even Gaea did not scare me as much as this event. I shuddered but steeled myself. I am the king of the Olympians! I cannot show weakness. I saw the other gods assembled. All of them were in shock, except for Athena, Poseidon, Apollo and Hestia who were looking grim. Did they know about this before me? Were they hiding something from me? Dionysus looked paler than Hades if it was possible. That was a question for later. After the IM ended, I faced the demigod and had the shock of my immortal life. Even after five thousand years of existence, I never had such a shock. A symbol flashed over the demigod, a symbol I least expected. It was unbelievable.

The hearth!!

"Hestia?!", I whispered. Athena looked beyond shocked. The others were rubbing their eyes in disbelief. The room warmed as Hestia turned into a woman in her early thirties and stood in front of the demigod. She snapped her fingers and the cuffs broke from the demigod's hands.

"Hail Hariharan Sivakumar. Son of Hestia, Goddess of Hearth, Home and Guardian of Hope.", Athena said, her tone filled with surprise and confusion.

"Oh! Timeout. Timeout. I need a minute to take all in.", Percy interrupts and I agreed. Some of us snickered, but he was right. It was too much to discern. My sister? The Maiden? A demigod son?

"Hestia. Care for an explanation?", Hades asked as gently as possible. If there is one thing all of us know, we should never piss off Hestia. She may be the most peaceful and least aggressive of the Gods. She may have powers that do not sound cool. But if she gets angry... oh boy! I don't want to even describe.

"I guess. But before that, we need to summon the fates.", she said and called the fates. The three Grannies came with their threads and scissors; , and , . Even if they looked like shrivelled up old hags, they are never to be messed with. All of us bowed in respect.

"Any reason you summoned us?", Clotho asked.

"About him.", I pointed out to that demigod who was now looking at all of us with a tired and confused look. Maybe he was tired. Maybe he was still processing the fact that he had seen his mother who turned to be a maiden goddess. This didn't make sense for us gods, and it was no surprise it didn't make sense for him.
