Kaito POV
Floor 22
It's almost been two weeks since me and Alice went on this little vacation and it's time we get back to the front lines. I haven't talked with Kirito or Asa since Alice and I visited them. At the moment I'm staring at the beautiful view that this floor provides. I'm still unsure how I feel about all this peaceful stuff but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Still looking out, a pair of arms warp around me as I look back to see it's Alice as she lays her head on my back.
Me: I'm not a pillow.
Alice: Yeah you're not nearly as soft but you are warm.
Me: If you say so
Alice: Kaito, do we have to go back I've grown quite fond of this place.
Me: It's growing on me too but we have to go back. They need us out there.
Alice: I guess. Hey do you think we'll be together in the real world.
Me: Of course no matter what it takes I promise we'll be together. You've become an important part of my life.
Alice: *Blush*The same is for me.
Me: Then it's agreed when we get back to the real world we'll find each other.
Alice: In order to find each other we need our names
Me: Yeah but how about we wait til we've reached the end to do all that.(I'd rather not have her learn my family is rich just yet)
Alice: I like that idea.
She kisses behind my ear.
Alice: I'll be downstairs making breakfast come down when you're ready.
Me: Ok thanks
She leaves as I look back to the view, letting the wondrous breeze blow past me almost sweeping my worries away. That's when I get a message from Heathcliff if it's from him that means one of two things either he's finally ready to cash in that favor or something is happening on the front lines. I open up the message and read it.
Heathcliff message: Sorry to disturb your vacation but I have urgent matter to discuss with you meet me at my guild as soon as possible also bring along that girlfriend of yours everyone is dying to meet her.
After finishing it I delete the message. Now who's been spreading the word about me being here with Alice. I can't trust anyone these days. I go down stairs to see Alice is going through her inventory with her armor already on.
Me: What happened to breakfast
Alice: Heathcliff just asked to meet with him so I'm assuming it has something to do with the front lines.
Me:(he did say girlfriend which implies he doesn't know who she is or he could have just wanted me to overthink it) I got the same message too so when will you be ready.
Alice: I'm ready now so shall we go
Me; Ladies first
Alice: Never took you for a gentlemen
I opened the door for her as she walked out and me behind her as we headed to the floor's teleporter.
