Kirito's Pov
Still waiting for Leafa to return, I was having a snack when suddenly Leafa's eyes opened and she stood up.
Leafa: I have to go!
Me: Go where?
She runs off heading for the exit as I follow her confused by her sudden actions.
Me: What's going on
Leafa: In about 40 minutes from now in the valley of butterflies the leaders of both the Sylph and the Cat Sith are going to meet to form an alliance.
Me: What's the problem with that?
Leafa: The Salamanders plan to attack and if they succeed things won't turn out good.
Me: I don't understand if the Salamanders attack succeeds, how does that stop the alliance if anything it should make it stronger.
Leafa: Well there's a territory among the Sylphs and if the Cat Sith found that out you can bet they would be pretty pissed.
Me: Yeah I can see that now.
Leafa: It's also a good way to start a war between the Sylphs and the Cath Sith. It's an easy way to get rich too if you take out a territory's leader you get 30% of their money. You can invade its hometown for 10 days and charge any tax you want.
Me: No way you can do all that just by taking out the leader.
Leafa: Look Kirito this isn't your problem it's a Sylph problem you don't have any reason to get yourself involved. If we go to this meeting chances are we won't make it back alive. We may have to start over all the way from Swilvane again but this could work for you.
Leafa stopped running as I looked towards her.
Leafa: If you want to make it to the top of the world tree it would be better for you to work with the Salamanders. If they pull this off it will give them the power and resources needed to raid the world tree. Being a Spriggan they might hire you as a mercenary. So if you wanted to kill me you could. I wouldn't hold it against you.
Me: At the end of the day it's just a game right, Anything goes right? That's how a lot of players think and in a way I can understand them. I have a friend who used to think almost the exact same way.
I walked forward as Leafa braced herself to be stabbed in the back only for me to walk past her.
Me: It doesn't matter if this is the virtual or real world we fight for what we want to protect. Leafa you're a good person so I wanted to be your friend. So it doesn't matter the reason I want to help and that's all besides there is no way I'd attack my friend for my own benefit.
I started running head but behind me I do hear Leafa crying but I'm sure there are tears of joy. As she soon started to follow me.
Me: Yui led the way.
Yui: Leave it to me papa.
I reached back and grabbed Leafa's arm. As I started to run full speed pasted the monsters and obstacles. Soon the exit came into view but a few monsters were blocking it. Letting go of Leafa's arm I slid under them and as I came out pushed myself up and took flight. I look behind me to see Leafa made it out safely too.
Leafa: You could have warned me first!
Me: Sorry I was acting on impulse now come on we don't have a second to waste. We have an alliance to save.
I sped up and so did Leafa as we headed towards butterfly valley as fast as we could. Until I realized I made a mistake.
Me: Where exactly is this butterfly valley?
