Fall of Maria

A month after the death of Isabel and Furlan, Levi cries himself to sleep, but crying isn't enough to release the pain that he's feeling. Countless nights that he can't even sleep that even in his waking time, everything is a nightmare. He found himself three bottles of liquor which have 95% alcohol and started to drink them, he wanted to get drunk and have some sleep until he remembers that he still has Luorix waiting for him in the Underground. He finished the three bottles, but he doesn't feel drunk nor tipsy he can just smell himself reeking of alcohol. He went outside of the Scout Regiment Headquarters in Trost District using his horse, but he forgot to ask permission to Erwin Smith whom he had a deal with to join the Scout Regiment, now the 13th commander of the Survey Corps.

"Wait for me, Luorix." Levi whispered to himself and commanded his horse to move. Meanwhile, Erwin saw that Levi left the headquarters without notifying him. He knows that Levi still can't control his emotions up until now because he still grieves on the death of his two best friends, more like a family to him.

It was a cold night and the air touches his face and burns his skin, but he doesn't care because all he wants to do is reach the Underground Stair and meet Luorix in the house where they left her. Since that he's already a soldier, the guards allowed him to enter Hermina District in Wall Sina to go to Capital Mitras to go down in the Underground. It was a long ride for him, and it was almost dawn when he reached the stairway to where he came from. Every step that he makes, brings back good memories of being with Isabel, Furlan, and of course, Luorix.

It goes dark as he goes down and walks through the streets of the Underground City and people around him stare at him as if they can't believe that the rouge Levi, they know is now a soldier. He walks straight ahead to their old house and hoping that Luorix is there waiting for him. He saw that the lights are open, so he immediately went up and when he opened the door, he saw a kid sleeping on the couch that reminded him of his childhood. He looks around the house and Luorix is not there anymore, but he noticed that the house remained clean. His face darkened because he thought that Luorix is still there but not and suddenly the kid woke up.

"Who are you, sir?" The kid said and Levi looked at him nonchalantly.

"I used to live in this house." Levi replied to the kid.

"Keep the doors locked." Levi added and he was about to leave the house when the kid followed him.

"Sir! Wait!" The kid said but Levi kept on walking down the stairs.

"Dr. Luorix Chapman told me to stay in this house and keep this clean." The kid said to Levi and when he heard her name, he immediately returns and kneel in front of the kid.

"Do you know Dr. Luorix?" Levi asked the kid. He is hoping that he knows where she is.

"Yes, she helped when I was sick, sir." The kid replied and Levi's eyes slightly widened.

"Do you also know where she is?" Levi said.

"Umm.. she went up on the surface a few months ago, but she promised me that she'll come back." The kid said to Levi and stood up.

"Alright, what's your name brat?" Levi asked the kid.

"My name is Ezekiel, sir." The kid replied to him.

"Okay, go inside now brat, and don't forget to lock the door." Levi replied and he started to go down. He may sound rude, but Levi showed some care to Ezekiel.

While walking Levi is thinking where Luorix would stay on the surface when she isn't familiar with that place. His hopes of seeing her again go up and down because there are three walls, he needs to search from plus they will go to another expedition outside the walls 28 days from now. But still, Luorix is inside the walled city and alive.
