There are times that I'd lie against the comfort of the grass and stare at the mystery of unable-to-reach darkness with its tiny sparkling moon side-kick dots. Sometimes, I'd dance under the cries of heaven or watch the leaves of trees and grasses smile as they finally got the chance to be showered after how many days of hotness.

I would imagine two best friends sitting in the field of silky grass, asking some out-of-ordinary questions such as "Would you choose to be able to step into the rainbow play with unicorns or something or lie in the bed of clouds, able to watch from above, travel perhaps?"

Then the other one would answer, "That's tough." She chuckled. "But still, both of them are dangerous. In just a second, you might not realize that you're already falling from the sky, without even the chance to sink in your mind everything you saw."

"Well, whatever. What would you choose, though?" The first lady insisted.

"Hmm, I would choose to be able to step into the rainbow. I know I won't have the chance to travel and see the wonders of creation. I would not have the opportunity to lie in that-how do you explain that feeling of peace and serenity when you lie in the clouds?"

Laughing, she said, "I think you just did."

The second lady smiled, paused, and continued. "To be able to step into the rainbow would overflow me with colorful vibes—with happiness, with hope, and with faith. I will be able to see people staring at it, remembering God's promises that He won't flood the earth with water again. I will be able to see their awes and wonders. I will have the privilege to see that even amidst monochromatic times, even if the whole earth is pouring out on you, there can be colors of joy, peace, hope, and some other beautiful things. Because you know, you can't have a rainbow without the rain. So you won't feel joy without sorrow." She paused, silent for half a minute. "Yes, I won't get to see from up above, but that's okay. All I want is to let people know that it's never the circumstances that make everything worse, it's our choice."

The first lady went silent for a second and smiled. "I never thought of that before. I guess I'll cross the rainbow with you and ride with the unicorns or something."

Then they would laugh together in my head, and I'd also laugh for having that scene in my imagination. I'd cross the rainbow too and I'll get a lot of paints from there so that at least I could paint colors to people's lives.
