"What's wrong with you?"
Lee asked Tay. The latter raised his brow, confused.
"What's wrong with me? What do you mean?"
Tay asked back. Lee sneered.
"You know what I mean, Tawan. You're usually quiet and just sitting in the corner until someone starts approaching you. Today, it's the other way around"
"I don't know what you're talking about"
"You had a fight with New, don't you?"
Lee asked, Tay's smile slowly faded. Lee knew he hit the spot.
"You're extra jolly today and talking to almost everyone. You do that when you want to distract yourself from something that obviously bothers you"
Tay sighed. Lee's a close friend, and he's been friends with the man for quite some time, so he knew that he can no longer lie to him and there's no point in denying.
"But, how did you know it was New?"
Lee just chuckled, he grabbed his phone and showed Tay his Instagram stories with Lee.
"You literally flooded your Instagram story with videos of us. You know how New reacts when we're together. You're doing it to grab his attention, aren't you?"
Tay released another sigh. Lee's right.
New got mad because Tay forgot about the lunch he promised to have with New a week ago, and instead, went out with his chula friends yesterday. It was an honest mistake, though. Tay's schedule was packed the past few days and the plan slipped his mind. It is important for him as well, and he was honestly waiting for the time he can finally spend some time with New. But sometimes, being so forgetful got the best of him. New never brought up the plan again after he mentioned it a week ago, so Tay hasn't been reminded about it.
He later realized that something was up, when he didn't receive any messages from New. Usually, New will shoot him a message when he's about to have his lunch, so Tay will be reminded as well to take his. He assumes that New's busy and just goes on with his day. It started bothering him when he checked his phone at 5pm, and there's still no trace of New.
He decided to call New while he's on his way to his condo, and surprisingly, the younger one rejected the call. After a few minutes, he received a message from New, telling him not to bother going to his place because he bet that Tay already had his fun and now tired.
Tay cursed after reading New's message and instantly remembered the plan they had a week ago. He instructed his driver to drive to New's place, but took it back after receiving another message from New.
New:
I said don't ever dare to go here.
Tay has no other option, but to release a sigh after another. He kept blaming himself for being forgetful after that.
"You should've informed me if you're going to use me, so I can act well"
Lee remarked, which brought Tay back to the present. He shook his head, smiling, which didn't even reach his eyes.
Lee showed Tay New's recent Instagram story, which is a short video of the rain with Willis' I think I like when it rains, playing in the background.
"Everything will be alright, man. New wouldn't stand getting mad at you for long. He just needs time"
Lee said, tapping Tay's shoulder. Tay gave him a faint smile.
"Well, I hope so"
He said, and well, hope.
