"Sin! Que hiciste?!"
"Era la unica opcion, Toriel..."

"aşGσяσ Ňσσσσσ!(Asgoro nooooo!)" shouted Error toward the window. The glitch was busy watching yet another run of Undernovela, and at the moment, Sin had killed Asgoro, right in front of Toriel!

"𝑔Et ⓕ𝕌𝓬𝕂E𝓭, ร𝐢Ň!(Get fucked, Sin!)" he yelled, throwing the empty chocolate wrapper he was holding at the screen. Stupid Sin and his stupid actions, always meddling with the plot and the obviously superior relationship with his stupid shenanigans.

Error closed the window with a wave of his hand, too angry to keep watching. To calm down, he shot a string to grab his latest knitting project, an AlterTale Sans, and put on his glasses.

Beside the awful plot direction of his favourite show, Error was having a good time recently: the usual itch he felt, the need to destroy, erase everything in his path, had lessened, so he used the opportunity to catch up on his hobbies and never going out unless absolutely necessary; furthermore, the voices were being a lot quieter, so he was sure nothing could ruin his day.

Little did he know, "nothing" was about to come his way.

About 50 monsters were wondering around the Antivoid for what seemed like days to them. The group was beginning to lose hope, and was desperate to find anything that would show them they were not alone.

"Do you think this is the right way?" asked a Mettaton, nervously wringing his fingers.
"Why are you asking me? Do I look like a map?!" a Doggo snarled, glaring at the robot.
"Please don't fight with the others, friend!" pleaded an Underswap Sans "We need to stick together!"
"This is worthless! Are we even sure there's something here, or are we just gonna walk around forever?" asked an OuterSwap Alphys with a frown on her face, looking at the Asgore leading the way.
"There has to be! It can't be just emptiness!" answered a Muffet frantically, eyes darting around.
"You are right miss, we'll find something, we just have to keep hoping!" a Storyshift Asriel donned a heroic pose, before noticing something.

"LOOK!" he shouted, pointing at a spot of color among the emptiness. The group turned and started cheering among themselves, before moving toward it.
"Good job Azzy." his sibling Chara said, putting their hands in the pockets of their hoodie. "Let's go check it out."

As they walked nearer, they saw that the spot the Asriel saw in the distance was actually a blue beanbag facing opposite of them, occupied by someone they couldn't see, but the closeness allowed them all to see something much more disturbing: rows and rows of navy strings up in the air, with humans souls and puppets tangled within. One by one, the members of the group stopped to watch, horrified.

"By the Angel..." murmured a Gerson, putting a hand in front of his mouth. "What is this?"
"Something we shouldn't get involved with!" harshly whispered a Burgerpants, who started tugging at the hand of the nearest monster, a Toriel "We have to go away!". Others noticed and nodded, turning back.
"We can't!" Alphys whispered back. "Who knows when we'll find anything else!"
"So you'd rather die?" Mettaton shot back.
"We'll die anyway if we keep walking in this fucking void! Whatever did this, we can take it!" she raised her axe a bit, to prove her point.
"She's right, some of us are trained Royal Guards" Chara said.

While they kept arguing quietly, a Monster Kid crept toward the beanbag, trying to see its occupant. He was scared, but he also wanted to be useful, wanted to be a hero. He wasn't very strong, but he had always been good at sneaking around, so he was going to be... reconnaissance! Yes, he was going to spy on the bad guy and help this girl, Alphys, (who was almost as cool as Undyne) find a way to take them down. He was a few feet from the beanbag when someone finally noticed him.

"What's that kid doing?!" Mettaton whisper-yelled, pointing at him.
"Oh shit! Little dude, come back here!"
"Child, turn around!"
"Kid, come back! It's dangerous!"

Monster Kid was oblivious to the hushed warnings of the group, and peeked over to the side of the beanbag, finding someone who looked like a black skeleton monster with red glasses, sewing a puppet of another skeleton, deeply focused. He didn't look like much, but then he did something awesome: he was almost out of thread, so he made a weird movement with his hand, and conjured blue strings, just like the ones on the ceiling. Monster Kid couldn't help himself.

"Cool..."
"𝕎𝓱at t𝓱乇 千𝓾ᶜķ?!(WHAT THE FUCK?!)"

Error abruptly stood up from the beanbag, startled, and on instinct used his strings to grab the soul of the child, who let out a scared yell.

"Oh my stars!"
"Who's that?"
"Put the kid down!"
"I told you it was dangerous!"
The half of the group who wanted to fight moved forward, taking a battle stance.

The glitch turned his skull and noticed the group, and his confusion quickly turned to hatred. How dare these abominations invade his home. He started glitching, error signs multiplying all over his body, and his grip on the soul tightened. Monster Kid gasped.

"𝕎𝓱At AяE 𝕪σ𝕌 Aᵇσ爪𝐢ŇAt𝐢σŇş 𝓭σ𝐢ŇG 𝐢Ň 爪𝕪 aŇt𝐢Ѷσ𝐢𝓭?! 𝕎𝓱σ GAѶE 𝕪σ𝕌 pEя爪𝐢şş𝐢σŇ tσ 𝐢ŇѶA𝓭E 爪𝕪 𝓭σ爪A𝐢Ň?!(What are you abominations doing in my Antivoid?! Who gave you permission to invade my domain?!)"

Error raised his free hand and two glitchy Gaster Blasters appeared behind him, charging.

"Wait wait wait!" shouted Underswap Sans, teleporting right in front of Error, who flinched a bit, and put his hands forward in a placating gesture. "You have every right to be angry, but we don't need to fight! We didn't mean to intrude, we were just looking for a way out!"

Error blinked quickly a couple of times, stunned by the fact that someone was so close to him and talked so much, used to the loneliness of the Antivoid. He scanned the skeleton in front of him, recognizing him as Swap variant: looks like a Sans, behaves like a Papyrus, meaning he is friendly, loyal and honest to a fault.

He narrowed his eyes and said: "a ⓌA𝕪 σ𝕌t?(A way out?)"
"Yes, we had no idea this was your house! You must have felt cornered, right? I sure would freak out if a crowd came running through my living room! Mwehehe!" he was speaking really fast, trying to get everything out, to make the other understand... or at least distract him enough to let Alphys catch him off guard; he was pretty sure he could reason with him, but if this Alphys was anything like his, she was already trying to get a good shot to free the kid if things were to go south "I'm sure you didn't mean to hurt this child right? He sneaked up on you and you reacted!" He smiled in a friendly manner, hoping he was right and that everything he said was true.

Error remained silent for a moment, taking in everything this Sans was saying; his way of speaking was making him a bit dizzy, so he relaxed his hold on the soul a bit, shook his skull slightly and answered: "𝓱E'ş яEA𝔩𝔩𝕪 𝔩𝐢G𝓱t σŇ 𝓱𝐢ş ⓕEEt...(He's really light on his feet...)"

"Thanks!" Monster Kid piped up. The glitch sharply turned his skull toward his prisoner, so Sans started talking again, to keep the attention on him. "Wowza, I'm glad to know it was all a big misunderstanding! I'm sure you have questions for us! Like why we are here, how did we enter, this kind of things! If you let the child down and dispel your attacks, we'll be happy to answer!" It was the moment of truth: would the stranger listen to him, or would they have to fight?

Error paused once again, and looked at the group behind Underswap Sans: there were a Swap Alphys, a Storyshift Chara, a Toriel and an Asgore, to name a few, all ready to fight. When they made eye contact, the Alphys tightened her grip on her axe and sent him a glare. Were he to fight them one on one, he could kill them all easily, he had done so countless times; even if ten of them attacked him he was pretty sure he could take them, but this many monsters all at once? He would lose.

So he freed Monster Kid, who face-planted on the ground before running into Toriel's arms, dispelled his attacks, crossed his arms, scowled and said: "үσ𝕌 ᵇEttEя 𝓱AѶE A Gσσ𝓭 E𝐗p𝔩AŇAt𝐢σŇ.(You better have a good explanation.)"

Author's note
Hello readers! I initially meant to post a chapter a week, since the story is already written completely, but I decided to instead post every two days! That means, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Also, feel free to point out any spelling or grammar mistakes. Enjoy!
