Error entered the Omega Timeline for the second time, directly inside Nightmare's tent, Dream and Blue right behind him.
CORE told them that Nightmare was outside, Book in hand, and that he had left Ink with just a guard inside, so the glitch simply used his strings to capture his soul instantly (he was some sort of Fell!Doggo) and looked for Ink.
Time seemed to slow down.
Ink was slumped on the side of a throne, his clothes completely white and his face blank; his pupils were white dots, just like when he had been scared.
He was holding the doll.
"Ink?" Blue called him, kneeling in front of him and holding his skull in his hands, but the Creator just hung limply.
"Ink please, answer me."
He was catatonic.
Dream peered outside the tent to look for his brother, and accidentally brushed past Error, but he didn't register any of it.
The Destroyer thought he knew rage. He thought that Ink's apparent betrayal had been the time when he had felt the most anger he ever had. That was nothing compared to the burning inferno he was feeling at this very moment, at the sight of Ink's lifeless body.
Error started trembling, both due to the rage and because he had started glitching violently.
It was Nightmare's fault, he knew it. In an instant, all of his thoughts focused on one single thing: revenge.
He was going to kill Nightmare.
The soul in his strings shattered.
He stormed outside, ignoring Dream's horrified expression, and once he saw Nightmare he started running faster and faster, conjuring several strings and blasters. The Guardian had only a moment to turn around and look surprised before Error attacked with a roar.
=========
Dream didn't even spare a glance toward the Creator; he didn't have time to lose, as every second he wasn't fighting Nightmare was another second his twin could feel his aura and make him lose the element of surprise.
The surrounding chaos should be able to mask it for a bit, but Dream wasn't counting on it.
He quickly peered outside the tent, but then felt himself falter: a wave of rage washed over him, leaving him breathless due to its intensity. He turned to the source and his non-existent blood ran cold.
Error was seizing, and his body was almost flickering in and out of existence: he looked like he was about to explode, and Dream was honestly terrified of what he was about to do.
Suddenly, the soul in his strings shattered: the Guardian didn't even have time to process it, as Error just ran outside, right toward Nightmare, and started attacking him with ferocity.
Great. Their plan had failed not even a minute in. Time to improvise: if Error was fighting his brother, he'd help the Creator. Hopefully the Destroyer would distract his twin, and Frisk could still grab the book.
He looked at Blue, who was holding back tears and trying to heal the Creator with green magic. He was slowly losing hope. "C'mon c'mon, why isn't it working?!" He pressed his palms harder on the Creator's rib cage, making his skull loll a bit.
Desperate, Blue turned around and begged Dream:"Please help him! You're the best healer I know!" He took the Guardian's arm and put his hand on the comatose skeleton's rib cage.
He was so distressed he didn't even stop to think about Dream's presence and Error's absence.
Dream didn't think he'd be able to help him: he couldn't feel any emotions coming from him, any at all, and that honestly made him doubt how alive the other really was. If he were human, he'd just tell Blue the Creator was already a corpse.
