Error was back in the Antivoid.
After staying with Ink in the Doodlesphere for about a week, he started feeling overwhelmed, so when CORE visited like they had promised, Error told them to contact Blue and make him come there to talk a bit. The fact that Ink was obviously excited to see their friend again and gave Error a dazzling smile was just a bonus.
Blue had come prepared, bringing two cheap phones for the both of them, to have a better way to communicate, and while Ink was trying to figure out how to use his, Error asked him for help in sorting out his feelings, not wanting to lash out at Ink again.
His friend had praised his maturity, and explained that it was normal to be overwhelmed after staying in the Antivoid for so long, and it was actually a good thing to not be together all the time.
To ease his mind, Blue proposed to call Dream and have him protect Ink for a few hours, so Error could decompress. He still wasn't entirely comfortable having Ink out of his sight (where he couldn't protect him), but he was also feeling like a ticking bomb; what he remembered about Dream from when he and Ink bonded was enough for him to tentatively trust the positive Guardian, at least for a little while.
Blue had then talked to Ink about it, and though his soulmate was upset about him leaving, Blue had managed to spin the situation as him, Ink and Dream having a sleepover and hanging out, and that changed Ink's mind rather quickly; his friend had an uncanny talent for manipulation.
A ping made him come back to reality, and he took out his new phone, fumbling a bit to open the message he received. It was a selfie, slightly blurry: Ink hugging Broomie, smiling, with Blue and Dream in the background doing... something he couldn't make out. The next message said "having fun!" followed by a string of emojis.
Error frowned hard, and answered "Good!", not letting his anger show.
He was aware that he was acting stupid, being jealous of an object, but he didn't trust it. Ink had wanted to try sleeping again the day before, and put Broomie on the couch at Error's request, but when they had woken up, it was leaning on the bedroom's wall. It almost made him crash, seeing it there, watching them. Ink didn't notice anything amiss, probably thinking he had put it in the bedroom and then forgot about it, but Error knew the truth.
That was a warning.
Stupid wooden stick, it just made a very powerful enemy; no one crossed the Destroyer and lived, no one!
"Howzit going, brah?"
No!
Error got up from his beanbag and turned around; sure enough, that filthy parasite was there. Oh, how the thought of him being part of the Balance filled him with rage! Now he couldn't kill him anymore!
"𝕎𝓱At t𝓱E [funk] AяE 𝕪σ𝕌 𝓭σ𝐢ŇG 𝓱EяE?! 𝑔Et σ𝕌t!(What the [funk] are you doing here?! Get out!)"
His stupid glasses changed from YO-LO to CHI-LL.
"Yo, chillax dawg." Error growled "Ya see brah, when ma homie told me ya waz back here, I had to come! I mizzed ya!" His glasses now read RADI-CAL "And now dat ya're all caught up, we can have a radical talk without ya tryin tah kill me!"
Error shot his strings at him, but the parasite dodged.
"ι 𝓬AŇ't 𝕂𝐢𝔩𝔩 𝕪σ𝕌, ᵇ𝕌t ι 𝓬AŇ şt𝐢𝔩𝔩 [funk] 𝕪σ𝕌 𝕌p! 𝑔Et σ𝕌t!(I can't kill you, but I can still [funk] you up! Get out!)"
The other just came closer, his glasses changing to RU-DE; when the Destroyer attacked him again, he just teleported behind him and put a hand on his shoulder.
Fucking parasite! Error's shoulder felt like it was on fire, it was glitching violently.
"𝓓ᗝภ't tᗝ𝓾ᶜ𝓱 𝓂乇!(DON'T TOUCH ME!)"
Error jerked away from him, but his arm was now hanging limply. That asshole was still smiling, but the Destroyer could see how he was more smug now. His glasses read NEUTRA-LIZED.
