"Wowza!" Blue had literal stars in eyes, and kept turning his skull left and right to look around himself, and Error was reluctantly impressed as well; the Heart of the Multiverse was stunning.

A multitude of colorful papers were scattered in a warm yellow void, that seemed to stretch endlessly, and the lower gravity of the place made everything (even them) float lazily: it gave off a calming, homey feeling, that made Error experience a pang of longing.

One paper drifted in front of him, and he reached for it. A thin barrier formed around it, allowing him to take it, but not to touch it directly, and he soon understood why: written on the top of the page there was "04F04S17", and the paper itself was like one of his one-way windows, but instead of showing a single place, every second it changed to a different location.

Error widened his eyes and quickly opened a code window to scan it, proving his suspicions right. It was an AU. His hands started shaking, and gripped tighter, or at least tried to; the barrier was still in the way, protecting the AU from him.

"Look!"

Blue distracted him and made him let go of the paper. His friend was pointing upwards, and he raised his gaze: there was a skeleton up in the air, with their back turned to them, surrounded by what seemed scrap paper. They had a big paintbrush strapped on their back that didn't let them see the stranger, but they could notice they had a long, flowing, brown scarf.

"𝓓σ 𝕪σ𝕌 t𝓱𝐢Ň𝕂 t𝓱At'ş t𝓱E ᶜяEAtσя?(Do you think that's the Creator?)"
"There's only one way to find out." Blue brought his hands to his mouth and shouted: "HELLO!"

The skeleton didn't even flinch.

"Maybe they can't hear us." Blue put his chin between his index and thumb, then raised his index in the air "I got an idea!" He turned to the glitch "I'm going to float up there, and talk to them, but I need your help!"
"千σя Ⓦ𝓱At?(For what?)"
"You'll tie one of your strings to my ankle. We don't know if they're friendly or... more like you" Error glared at his friend, but didn't argue "so if it looks like it's going badly you'll pull me back down. This way, I can do the talking" 'since you're not good at it' went unsaid, but Error heard it just fine "and you can be the backup. Sounds good?"

Error thought about it for a bit, but he couldn't find any faults in the plan, and since he had promised Blue that he'd try a peaceful approach first, he nodded.

"a𝔩я𝐢G𝓱t.(Alright.)" he conjured a single string in his right hand and let it wrap around Blue's ankle. He moved his foot a bit, testing the rope, and then said: "If I want to come down, I'll tug twice, but I trust your judgement: pull me down if you think you need to." His friend then jumped with force, propelling himself through the air, and started swimming toward the skeleton.

Sans quickly arrived behind the unknown stranger, and saw that they were painting two halves of a paper page with delicate and precise strokes. Sans again said: "Hello?" but was ignored. Maybe they were deaf? He tried touching them on the shoulder, and that got the stranger's attention, who quickly turned around.

They were a male skeleton, with a splatter of ink on thei- his right cheek. He wore wide brown pants and a brown jacket with gold accents over a white shirt, brown artist gloves (similar to the ones Undyne used when she drew on her tablet) and didn't have any shoes on. His pupils were a green exclamation point and an orange question mark.

He gawked at Sans, and then took hold of his still outstretched hand, rubbing it softly. "Are you real?" his tone was completely lost, making him sound like a small child. Sans's heart ached, so he smiled reassuringly and said: "Yes, I'm-" Before he could finish the other puked on him.
