† Chapter Eighteen †

It was late at night, as I suspected I couldn't sleep. I had thought and thought about a feasible solution but it had not occurred to me yet. Alice said that a vampire had to sacrifice himself, which meant that he would have to bite Harry and take the poison out of him. There was no other vampire here in Dullville... no one but... me... I was some kind of half vampire! It might have worked. If I could bite him, even if I didn't know how... he would've survived and I would've turned into a complete vampire. I would've done literally anything for him.

I got dressed in a hurry and I went out into the woods. The icy night wind made me tremble like a leaf, so I was about to run to the witche's house.I repeatedly knocked on the door but no one opened, she was probably sleeping... it didn't matter, she had to wake up immediately.

«Alice! Open the door, please, it's Jenna!», I screamed louder.

The window opened and she came down like a whisper of the wind.

«What the hell are you doing here?!», she yelled back, «Do you know what time it is?!», she exclaimed still half asleep.

«Sorry but I need a favor! You need to revive Harry!»

«What?! But they've all decided they won't help him»

«I will! Don't worry about why and how, just do it! Come, I beg you!», I begged her by joining my hands together.

«If you care so much. Give me your hand, I'll use teleportation»

We dematerialized and a second later we were in front of Harry's body.

«So are you sure you want to do this?», she asked for the hundredth time.

«Yes, hurry up!», I roughly told her.

She waved her hands giving off a white and luminous aura, she moved towards him and his body began to move until it awakened.

«Harry...», I bursted into tears hugging him.

«Well, I'll leave you two alone and go back to sleep, goodnight and good luck», she immediately disappeared after finishing the sentence.

«Jenna... what are you... doing?», he asked between coughs.

«I'm saving you»

«No, I won't make it. Don't worry about me», he gasped for air and coughed again.

«But you...»

He interrupted me taking my face in his sweaty and trembling hands.

«No, listen to me. Whatever happens, I want you to know that you will be able to manage on your own, you are clumsy but I have faith in you. There are...", he stopped with a groan of pain that made my blood run cold, «... there's so many things I need to tell you frog face. You have changed my life, you are the only person I really trust, you are special to me in a way that you cannot even imagine...»
