† Chapter Twenty Two †

I was sitting on the lawn hugging Harry while Jonathan was playing with Gemma and Michela, I couldn't possibly ask for a better day.

The moon has disappeared from the sky and the sun finally returned, it seemed that things have changed and were getting better and better. Ever since I informed everyone of Harry's return they have rushed here. The others were inside cooking and after we announced our wedding, not only did Lilya propose to help organize everything, but Randel hugged Harry and offered him to work with him at my University after he got back on his feet.Everything was going well, we were organizing everything and we thought we didn't want to wait too long, next week we would be already getting married and we would finally be together forever.Everyone took this news very well, Jonathan was extremely happy to be able to see Harry as a kind of father's figure, just as he saw me as a kind of mother. My little brother was all the support I was looking for.

«I was thinking about something», Harry said, «Do you really want to get married in a church? Because I was thinking of something a little more private... I don't know...»

«Do vampires even go to church?», I playfully asked.

«Aren't we all sons of the Big Guy?», he replied grinning.

«We are indeed», I laughed, «You want to do it here, right?», I asked him smiling and he nodded, «I'd be happy to»

«Thank you», he reached down to kiss me on the cheek.

«Aw, look at how cute you two are!», Michela came towards us.

I got up to hug her. 

«Do you feel like being my maid of honor? It wouldn't be the same if someone else had to do it», I asked.

«I would be really happy to do it for you», she said shrugging my shoulders, «God only knows how much I love you!»

«I love you so much too!», I hugged her tightly.

«Ugh, ew...», Harry laughed at us.

Michela snorted rolling her eyes and returning to Jonathan. I sat back laughing and kissing my future husband's on his heart-shaped lips.
Harry's pov.

It was all so different since she was around me. I've even had a real conversation with my sister since she brought me back to life. I gained a kind of little brother or better, a kind of son. And the vampire and werewolf families were getting along again. It sounded too good to be true, and even if I didn't fucking understand whatever happened at weddings, I knew this was going to be the most beautiful I've ever witnessed. Because it will be my own.

For a long time I have been thinking about how it felt to have feelings for someone, I always thought it was impossible for me to have a beating heart, but I had never given anyone the chance to make me feel that way. And here we were.

The wedding day.

Gemma had been trying to calm me down for hours... I was in front of the altar waiting for my bride and I was fucking nervous. My most vivid thought was: what if she has changed her mind and does not show up at the altar?

«Don't think about it! You know she will come, she loves you!», Gemma read my thoughts.

«It's not if she loves me the part that I have doubts on. I think maybe we ran too fast, maybe she doesn't feel ready anymore»

«Do you want me to go check on her?»

«No. Stay here, I need moral support», I hinted at a smile, returning my gaze to the small flowered space of my garden where Jenna should've been arriving in moments.The few people invited were seated on white folding chairs while they were discussing among themselves. The lawn was crowned with flowers and white banners, a small parquet was spread out on the ground, all obviously cared for and arranged by Lilya, she would never be thanked enough for this. That would be the path that Jenna had to walk on. I hoped she wouldn't notice how nervous I was, I was afraid of making her nervous too.A few moments and the wedding march echoed in the air, making silence fall and making my heart explode.And there she was, wonderful more than anything else, she comed towards me arm in arm with Randel with the most beautiful and sincere smile on her face. She joined me and she blushed slightly when I took her hand. The priest of the nearest church smiled at us before starting the ceremony...
