You and your boyfriend of two and a half years were stuck in the airport due to an extremely long delay and you were both tired, as it was a very late two a.m. for you both. Koneshima was babbling on about some new creature he was going to introduce into his manga series that was pretty nasty, if what little info you understood was anything to go by.  Something about only obeying the master that it was summoned by using blood?

You didn't care too much since you were half asleep, but you couldn't fall asleep because you didn't know what time the plane was com in in.  The people who worked in your terminal were scarce and somewhat withholding with their information.  They weren't very nice, and you told Koneshima to never fly through them again.  You were unsure as to if he had understood you. You were kind of mumbling.

"Hey, [Name].  I'm sorry.  I know you didn't want to go on the vacation in the first place.  And now we're stuck here."  If you didn't stop the blonde there, he was going to slip into emo mode. That was always a pain.

"Hey, I just made it a bigger deal than what it was. I actually had a lot of fun, thanks Koneshima." You smiled to your lover and he was blown away.

He always forgot how much he loved you, and that itself was a feat since you were everything to the boy. You were the night. You were the moon. You were the stars, placed ever so perfectly in the night sky seen in the large window behind your back.  Koneshima couldn't hold himself back as he leaned into your drooping form, kissing the lips that were his absolute favorite.  He could kiss you forever, or just listen to you prattle on about anything and everything you wished. He wanted to be beside you as the boy of you grew, and as you failed and as you succeeded.  Koneshima never really thought about the future, but every single time that he was forced to, there was a constant in the visions for what was to come.

You.

You were his shooting star, you were the reason Koneshima was always smiling, with or without you being next to him physically, because he felt you were always there in spirit.  And he was your sun, your bright ball of sunshine. He loved that.  He loved how you pushed him to be the very best he could be. He loved how you were so humble when the skill called for you.  He was your confidence as were you his.

2:00 a.m. was a time like any other, and he felt that it was also the 'right time' all of the books mentioned when confessing love.  Though this was not what this time was for this morning in a crowded airport full of angry passengers was for.  This was the time he had been waiting for.  He knew you weren't really one for showing off, but he was.

Koneshima stood abruptly from your embrace.  He pulled you up behind him, so that you were facing each other.  He knelt and your chest instantly constricted.  Now?  Well, 2:00 a.m. still meant it was happening, being as it was a time at all.  A black velvet box was pulled from a pocket and you felt tears prick at your eyes.

Koneshima was rather flashy, which is what you lived about him. Being conserved, he was your opposite. That was fine by you.  He was the one who always got you to dance at parties or at home when a good song came on pandora.  He was the one who fought to keep the two of you together when your parents had disapproved of not only his reckless actions in public, but also his occupation.  He fought to keep you together even though you had been the one to ask him out.  He was the yin to your yang, and exactly who you needed in your life.

Koneshima smiled, his excessively sharp incisors showing in the crapy lighting.  "[Name]?  We've been together for over two years, and I think that another step needs to be taken. I want to be with you for as long as we live. I want to live together, and laugh together, and build ikea furniture together without the instructions because I'm stubborn as all hell. I want to have kids, and raise them to be good people, and support them in all of their decisions.and have many puppies that we could adopt. I want to be with you, [Name].  Will you do me the honor of meeting me at the end of the aisle?  Will you, [Name] [Last Name], marry me? And make me the happiest man ever?"  By this time you almost had full on water works.  You nodded and didn't even wait for Koneshima to stand before you tackled him in a hug.

"Yes. Yes, Koneshima, I will.  I promise! I'll be your wife!"  An applause registered to your ears, and you realized once again, that you were stuck in an airport due to an extremely long delay.

What a splendid day this was.
