You eventually fell asleep and Sam laid you down gently onto the couch. He was careful to not make too much noise so that he wouldn't accidentally wake you up. You mumbled something incoherently and Sam decided it would best to let you rest. Plus he still had to help his brother and friends finish up this case. When he walked back into the main room he overheard Castiel questioning Dean about you.

Sam gave a heavy sigh when he realized what they both wanted to know.
"I don't understand quite what is going on here, " Castiel commented.
"Its complicated, " Dean answered. He wasn't exactly sure how to explain to his angel best friend that you were Sam's daughter. "Can't this wait?"
"No because there is obviously something on your mind, " Castiel responded. "If it has something to do with Y/n then I have to know, " Jack didn't like all these questions so he covered his ears not wanting to hear anymore.

"Its not important Cass, " Dean said. This was something he was still processing, so sharing it was out of the question.
"Dean enough this won't solve anything, " Sam cut in. He was glad that you were a heavy sleeper because he didn't want any of this conversation to wake you. "They both have a right to know and keep your voices down, Y/n has really good hearing, " he continued.
"Sam are sure.. " Dean began but stopped when his little brother nodded.

"What is this about?" Jack asked breaking the silence, he had so many questions. Some of them were you in trouble? What could be so hard for you to know? Was this about your empath abilities? Sam let out another heavy sigh and closed the door behind him. He wasn't sure where to begin with this so he was just going to start with what he knew about you.
"I didn't know this until recently and I wish somehow someway I could known years earlier, " Sam explained. "But Y/n is my daughter, " he admitted and closed his eyes at the words. He wasn't ashamed of you but he felt that you deserved someone so much better as a father than him.

Castiel gasped and Dean had to cover Jack's mouth so the kid wouldn't scream. There was no turning back now the secret was out.
"But that shouldn't be possible I would have sensed it, or at least known about it, " Castiel said standing up. "We angels know everything about the Winchester bloodline and there was never a heir, " he continued. "With the exception of the monster baby Dean spawned, " he kept going. Dean became embarrassed and angry at the mention of that. He gave the angel a stern look and Castiel stopped talking.

"Maybe a mistake was made, " Jack said trying to help.
"No nothing about Y/n is a mistake, " Sam answered immediately. "She is my daughter with Sarah and I don't care if I'm not supposed to have an heir, I love Y/n so much, " he continued. "If me telling you this isn't enough look at her eyes closely, she has mine, " he finished.
"But her appearance.. " Castiel began but he was interrupted by a sudden thought. Rani had turned out to be an angel so it was possible that she had changed your appearance so that wouldn't look too much like Sam or Sarah. "Never mind, "

"I don't know how I am supposed to deal with this, I can't be the father she needs and this life I live is so dangerous, " Sam ranted. "I got her mother killed and brought her into this whole mess without trying, " he almost screamed. He held back tears as he banged his head against the table. He panicked once again thinking all this noise was going to wake you up. So he remained silent for several minutes before speaking again. "I can't let her know because it would crush her and I've ruined her life enough, so she can't know, "

"Sam eventually she will have to know, " Dean pointed out. Sooner or later you were going to find out, and chances were if Sam didn't tell you either the angels would or you'd find out yourself. Sam picked the later option he wasn't ready to tell the truth and probably never would be. The amount of pain a revelation like that would cause you made him feel sick.
"Maybe you could give her some hints, " Jack suggested.
"No I can't do that either, we have a case to focus on anyway, " Sam responded changing the topic.
