Chapter Six: Mining

Steve lead the way to a cave in the ground on the egde of the Jungle. Laura was holding her arm and looking at the ground the whole time. I felt sorta bad for her so I flew over to her.

"So.. Where did you come from." I questioned. She looked up at me.

"I came from a village but..." She trailed off. I looked at her expecting an answer. She never finished. I walked over to Steve who was looking at a map. I looked down at the map with him. He suddenly looked up and looked at me. He smiled and so did I.

"Ok," Steve Explained," There should be a mine nearby..." Steve looked up and pointed toward a cave on the side of a moutian. We all walked over to the cave. I peeked inside and saw a white thing fling its bows at me. I yelped and hid behide Laura.

"For a Queen you sure are scared of a lot of things." Laura said chuckling. I Stood up straight.

"No I was... err... trying to get my bow ready." I lied grabbing 3 bows and shot them randomly everywhere in the cave. I heard a zombie groan.

"EKK!" I flew behide Miya. They all laughed. Steve searched his inventory for a torch. Steve went down in the Mine with an blue sword in his hand and placed a path of torches. Miya, Laura, Heaven, and Carmen all followed Steve and I followed close be hide.

"Here." Miya said," Everyone take one iron pickaxe incase you find a diamond or something important." Miya handed everyone a pickaxe. I took the pickaxe in my hands and looked at it funny. I held it in my hands and looked up at Steve. Steve smiled and started doing what they call MINING. I tried my best to mine by throwing the pick thing at the wall hoping it would mine something but it hit the ground with a thud. Everyone looked at me annoyed.

We had been walking deeper and deeper in to the mine. I saw some wood stuff and so iron things on the ground, with a cart thing by it. Steve told me it was an abandoned mineshaft. I was walking around in a small cave when I found some green stuff.

"Hey Steve"

"Yeah,"

"What is this green thing over here?" I asked. Steve walked over to me and looked at the green thing.

"It's an emerald." Steve said.

"Why don't you mine it. You found it."

I looked at the pickaxe that was in my hands. I really don't know how to mine. I stepped 10 blocks away from the emerald thingy and looked it in the face, since it didn't have any eyes I think. Steve looked at me and cocked his head to the side. He looked confused by the style of my mining. I throw the pickaxe at the emerald and the pick hit the wall and bounced back at me. I quickly ducked before it hit me and it went wizzing past me and fell in the ravine that was located behind me. I looked in to the Revine at the pick as it fell and burned up in the lava below. I swallowed and looked back a Steve who had his hands over his head. He stood up and stared at me for a second and then started laughing his head off falling back on the ground. I just stared at him while he had is laugh fest over there on the stone floor. After atleast 10 minutes of laughing he finally stood up rubbing away tears of laugher. I crossed my arms and was tapping my foot on the ground impatiently. He looked up at me and stopped doing everything he was doing before.

"Umm... we're you watching me the whole time?" Steve asked. I a shoke my head.

"No, of course not. I was just admiring the beautiful lava in that revine that I could have fallen in." I explained as I backed away toward the revine. I was right on the edge when I leaned back and fell in the revine. I opened my wings and flew in a small area close to the lava on the side of the wall. I could hear Steve pacing around up there about 20 blocks on top of me screaming for help. I made my eyes glow a light purple and flew up to Steve. He looked at me in horror.
