In which Wei Wuxian has a little brother who's slightly more out of his mind than him and ends up in a Valley of Ghosts becoming their master and creating new ways of cultivation.
His face was completely flushed, arms wrapped around his tiny friend a giddy smile on his face.
"A-Sang you are so cute." He pressed his cheek to his friend's who squeaked at the compliment. Huaisang's face was also flushed red, though for a different reason.
"A-Xing! You are so shameless! Don't say that." He tried to get out of Kexing's grip while Meng Yao, who was positioned opposite of them, was on the edge of his seat almost bursting at the seams with laughter.
Wei Kexing just pouted, his bottom lip quivering.
"But Huaisang, you're so pretty and your face is so soft. And I'm not just saying that because I'm cut-sleeve!" The drunken man hugged Nie Huaisang from behind. "Even if I liked women I would find you beautiful!"
The small teen just got even redder in the face, he pushed Wei Kexing's face away from his and huffed.
"You are going back with Jiang Cheng, Jiang Yanli, and Wei Wuxian!" He took the smiling boy by the elbow and started to walk out of the room they were in, Meng Yao following after them.
"Why can't I stay with you and dimples? I promise I won't cuddle you again!" He turned to his other friend a pout on his lips. "Please?"
Both Meng Yao and Nie Huaisang sighed, both knew it was almost impossible to say no to his puppy eyes and pout. However they also knew if he didn't go back soon his brothers and sister would worry.
Luckily for them as soon as they stepped out of the Inn they ran into a grinning Wei Wuxian.
"Gege!" Kexing yelled launching himself at his older brother in a fit of giggles. He smiled down at the confused boy before seeing the emperor's smile he had in his hand.
Wei Kexing picked up the jars and quickly drank them both, suddenly feeling thirsty.
It just added on to the drunken stupor he was in and the flush on his face, whilst also making Wuxian annoyed.
"A-Xing! Those were for me." He sighed holding onto his little brothers waist, zeroing in on the two boys behind him. "You two! What did I say about getting A-Xing drunk? You know he can't handle it."
Before he could go on any longer, and before the two could explain it hadn't been their fault, he just huffed readjusting Kexing.
"Nevermind, Shijie and A-Cheng have been looking for him. I'll take him back." He waved off Huaisang who was looking at Kexing like he wanted to say something but just kept quiet.
Then the two were off, a mildly annoyed Wei Wuxian and an overly drunk and smiley Wei Kexing.
By the time the two brothers got to where their siblings were apparently staying, Wei Wuxian had already gotten more Emperor's Smile. A few of those jars Kexing had managed to get his sticky fingers on.
Stepping into an empty clearing both boys were met with a put out fire making the older of the two curse under his breath. Then he clicked his fingers together.
"They must have found somewhere to sleep, no worries though Didi we can sneak into Gusu Lan Sect and find a place to sleep!"
Even in his drunken haze Wei Kexing couldn't help but feel like this was a horrible plan. The younger boy shook his head faster than he should have and gripped Wuxian's shoulders.
"No! I won't allow it, you'll be breaking rules and I'll be the one to clean up after you." He grabbed the older boys hand and walked them to the entrance pointing at the ground. "We sit and wait for someone who is on patrol."
Making an example he plopped himself on the ground and looked up at his brother as if to say 'See?' but the other wouldn't budge.
Wei Wuxian rolled his eyes at the abnormally tall 13 (almost 14) year old boy.
"You can stay here all you want, I'm going in." He smirked turning around to walk into the entrance only to be stopped. The boy frowned touching the protection and checking it for any weaknesses.
Then he found what he was looking for, happy once again he wrote out a talisman pinpointing that exact weakness destroying whatever was trying to keep him out in a flurry of butterflies. Before prancing right on in, two jars of Emperor's Smile in his hand.
Meanwhile his brother was sat on the floor in silence, watching his brother and knowing deep down he'll have to clean up after him as he usually does.
The still heavily drunk boy shakes his head again, slapping his face in order to try and sober up to no avail. It is not like he was going to follow his stupidly confident rule breaking brother.
He was known for fixing his brother's messes. Not heading straight into them like an absolute fool.
No. Instead Wei Kexing sat by himself mulling over the millions of possibilities of what could go wrong on this night. Mulling over the apologies he would have to work through and the punishments he would probably have to receive from the strict Sect on the behalf of his brother.
Even while his mind was muddled with copious amounts of liquor it didn't stop him. So what if he had a flushed face that made him look as though he were a tomato. He was amazing at acting courtesy of Nie Huaisang.
Fake it until you make it.
He was excellent at the concept. Knew it as though it were the back of his own hand, or as if it were his most prized fan.
Nothing would go wrong and he would once again be there for his brother like he always was.
What could go wrong?
