Third Person's POV

"E-eh?" Melody looked at her boyfriend confused but composed herself after a few seconds and opened her door wider for Ilhoon to get inside.

"I'm sorry, Babe. I didn't know they planned this. If you're uncomfortable, I can sleep on the floor." Ilhoon rambled right after they sat on the bed.

Melody just chuckled and adored how her boyfriend seemed to panic with the sudden situation. She did not peg him to be nervous in this type of situation.

"Babe, calm down. No one is sleeping on the floor. You can sleep on the bed with me." Melody smiled at Ilhoon as the latter blushed.

"O-okay." Ilhoon looks away but tightly grips the strap of his bag. He doesn't know why this situation makes him nervous.

It's not like they've never cuddled nor slept alone before; maybe it's the fact that he knows they're on vacation and no schedule awaits them on the next day. Maybe it's because he can take his time to stare at her in the morning while Melody is still asleep. Maybe it's because they'll be able to watch each other get ready for bed. Perhaps it's because he knows that she planned this for him, or maybe it's something else. Maybe it's because this place is special for him, to them — before.

"I trust you, and I know you won't do something without my consent. Right?" Melody said and asked at the same time. She's nervous too, but she doesn't want Ilhoon to know because it feels stupid.

It feels stupid that she's nervous even though they have been a couple for a few months now, and it's normal for a couple to sleep in the same room. She knows that there are things that couples do, and intimacy is a part of a relationship. But, she feels stupid because she has never imagined things between them like that before— not until now that they are sitting in a hotel bed at a resort she booked.

"Never," Ilhoon answered quickly and tried to relax. This should be a fun trip, and he should not be thinking things right now. After all, Melody put an effort just for him to relax and lessen his stress.

"Good, now please put your bag on the cabinet and cuddle with me?" Melody asked, and Ilhoon just chuckled and followed his girlfriend.

"I think we need to set the alarm in case we both fell asleep. Dinner's ready after two hours." Ilhoon mumbled as he kissed Melody's head after they found a comfortable cuddle position.

"Are you tired?" Melody asked and looked up to meet Ilhoon's eyes with worry. She wants Ilhoon to get all the rest he needs, and she won't mind if they'll just sleep all day during this trip. She just wants him to think of himself too and rest, even for a short period of time.

"I'm always tired, but never of you," Ilhoon answered and then kissed Melody's forehead. They both chuckled as they both recognized what he had just said.

"Jung Ilhoon. Did you just quote a verse from a song just to make your girlfriend blush?" Melody said and tried to show a surprised face.

"Maybe, but did it work?" Ilhoon answered and played along with his girlfriend.

"Definitely... not." Melody chuckled and snuggled on him after. Ilhoon snorted and hugged her tighter.

The two soon drifted off to sleep as the tiredness both crept in them.

"Do you think they're doing something or asleep?" Changsub smirked and asked Eunkwang and Minhyuk as the three of them relaxed at the hotel's mini cocktail bar.

"Shut up, Changsub." Eunkwang nudged him but chuckled.

If they only have a choice, they've already ditched the couple or excluded themselves from this trip. But, they want them to be safe; it's their duty as the group's older people and as a brother to Melody.
