Chapter Thirty-three

The sound of the waves is calming and quiet. But, his voice sounded angelic which made her feel the opposite of calm. She's nervous, as the loud beating of her heart might trigger something that she's holding back for a long time.

Ilhoon is mentally reminding himself not to mess up the highlight of this date. There are a lot of uncertainities, but his eagerness is stronger.

"Ilhoon~ah? Are we there yet?" Melody asked as the environment gets familiar.

"Your patience is not your best trait, Melody. But you're still cute." Ilhoon chuckled.

"Why are we here?.. in my home town?" Melody suddenly got nervous.

"I heard they have a nice and quiet beach here.. so here we are." Ilhoon stopped the car and the sunset gleamed on their faces. They're at the beach. The same beach they went to, on one of their dates before. Ilhoon is hoping it will trigger something in her memory and in her heart.

"Beautiful.." Melody smiled at the view.

"Indeed..breathtaking." Ilhoon muttered while looking at the lady beside him.

"I can't believe I wasn't able to see this view since I woke up."

Melody looks at him and caught Ilhoon staring. But Jung Ilhoon didn't looked away. He smiled softly at her and tuck a strand of her hair behind her ears.

"Come on. The highlight of this date is just about to start." Ilhoon winked at her and get off the car.

Melody sat in awe. Her heart's doing that again and her stomach feels weird.

Ilhoon opens the door for her and offered his hand. "Shall we?"

She nervously took his hand and let Ilhoon guide him. "Long walks at the beach. I heard ladies love them?" He asked.

"Hmm. Maybe? Have you brought a lot of ladies here before?" Melody teased.

Ilhoon smirked. "Honestly, you're the only one.."

"That's hard to believe.." Melody replied and looked at the sea.

"A lot of people thought that because we're idols, we date a lot of girls. But we don't - at least for BTOB. We are a one woman type of guys." Ilhoon explained while looking ahead.

Melody didn't say anything and it hinted him the she wants him to continue talking.

"To be more honest, all of us were once heartbroken because of one girl. Except for Sungjae, he hasn't met the right girl yet. And after that, we never tried again, on any girl. Not even once. We make friends but no more than that." Ilhoon continued.

"That's amusing. So, how many girls are you friends with?" Melody looked into Ilhoon's eyes trying to not sound jealous.

"Before I answer that, I need you to look ahead of us." Ilhoon pointed a Navara pick up with piled blankets, pillows, snacks, and thermos at the back.

"You're such a cliché man Jung Ilhoon." Melody chuckled but smiled widely at the set up.

"I never thought that I will be. But again, I heard ladies love stargazing at the beach?" Ilhoon grins at her while walking backwards.

Melody shooked her head but smiled. As soon as they settled down and get comfortable, they both looked up to the sky and watch the stars.

"Melody.." Ilhoon muttered.

"Hmm?" Melody answered still looking at the stars.

"You look beautiful everyday, but today, you look gorgeous." Ilhoon said which made Melody look to him.
