Third Person's POV

"Melody." "Jung Ilhoon" both of them said at the same time.

Joo cleared her throat and wrap her arms around her brother's.

"Melody, I'd like you to meet my brother. BTOB's Jung Ilhoon." Joo happily introduced.

"Yeah. Uhm. We already met." Melody said and smiled at Ilhoon.

"Really? Where and when?" Joo faked her shocked expression.

The moment she saw Melody, she knew right then that something was odd. How come she doesn't remember her?

Did she forget or she's just pretending to not know her?

The conversation was interrupted by the brand manager.

"Excuse me. I'm sorry to interrupt but the line is getting too long now we need to continue." The man said and led Ilhoon back to his seat where he was signing greeting cards for people who buy The Cushion products.

"Hey. Why don't you pick the gift for your best friend while I help my brother?" Joo said and left Melody to look around the shop.

Melody took her time finding the gift for her best friend. Then suddenly a lively Christmas song blasted throughout the shop.

I don't want a lot for Christmas,

There is just one thing I need..

Melody rushed to the counter and left the shop. She sat on a bench outside of the mall and wiped her tears as memories of her and her Mom flashed through her mind.

"Eomma.. Why? I miss you.. I wish you are here now." Melody sobbed as she hugged her knees tightly not minding the people who pass by.

She was again alone and as time passed by, she learned that being alone in this time of year is the worst.

--

"Where did she go?" Joo asked her brother for the nth time.

They've been roaming around the mall right after the signing and when Joo noticed that Melody is nowhere to be found.

"Noona. I think we should go home. She probably got bored and went home. And people are now looking at us weirdly. I don't want you to be on any articles saying negative things." Ilhoon stopped her sister.

"Ani. I need to know-" Joo's phone started ringing. She just sighs and answered it.

"Yeoboseyo? Oh. Okay. I'll be there in 15. Bye." Joo ended the call and looked at her brother who's hiding the fact that he's worried about the missing girl.

"I need to run some few errands at the studio. You go home now. But you need to explain everything to me when I get back." Joo waved goodbye and went out of the mall.

Right after Joo left, Ilhoon quickly went back to the shop and asked for the CCTV footage.

"I'm really sorry Sir. As you can see there's nothing suspicious that happened before she left." Ilhoon stared at the screen and nod.

Ilhoon was in deep thought. Where did she go? Why did she leave? Did she remember something? Is she escaping from them?

"Wait. I saw her earlier. I think she began to cry and said something about the song that played." A staff raised her hand and speak.

"Song?" The manager of the store immediately searched the song that played on the time that the incident happened.

"Ilhoon~ah. Pabo~yah." Ilhoon muttered and slap his forehead. That's it. She remembered her Mom.
