Chapter 8: Porthitis.

After 25 yrs of Percy's departure,

3rd Pov: Olympians

It has been 25 years after Percy has gone. Search parties were sent from both camps. But after 5 yrs of his departure Zeus ordered to find him.
There was no trail of him. Poseidon has gone to depression. Amphirite and Triton has tried get him back to his cheery mode. But, they were also sad. Sea has become dull. Atlantis longed for their Prince. But they didn't notice that a part of sea was still beautiful as ever or more.
After 8 yrs of his departure there was another great prophecy,

"Darkness conceals with Night,
Pit forms an endless army,
Hero shall return,
To suffer and suffice,
He comes with vengeance,
One word  lead his way,
One will save him,
He shall decides the fate of world... "

Apollo said it may take place between 20 and 30 yrs. Athena explained the meaning of prophecy at Council but they only understood that Erebus, Nyx and Tartarus are rising and Percy will be returning as he is the hero. But they can't fully explain the prophecy. Zeus ordered to increase the intensity of search for their hero.

But now there was an assassin who killed evil peoples, Helped demigods to their respective camps or girls to the hunt if they are abused by men. He brutally killed all of them who hurt or abused children. He also hunt down monsters and their army. He was known as victor by children who he saved, monsters called him Porthitis meaning the conqueror or the destroyer, Mortals called him Omega, as he marked omega on the body of his assassinations claiming them. He appeared 3 yrs ago.

Zeus ordered Artemis to capture him.

Artemis Pov:

I was at tent when there was noise outside. I exit camp to see Thalia with a girl who looked like 10 yrs old. She had blonde hair with sky blue eyes."Another one? " I asked while thalia nodded. Its 6th one in this month. "What's your name little one?"
"My name is Teena Hughson, I was saved from my stepfather by a man named Victor." She answered.
"You know who is your godly parent is? " I asked.
" Yes, He said that my father is apollo."
"I take that you wanted to join hunt"
She nodded.
"Repeat after me, I Teena Hughson, Daughter of Apollo, Swear to be an eternal maiden of Lady Artemis, and To renounce company of Vile men."
Yes there was a slight change in oath because I understood not every men are bad as I thought. But my hunters didn't share that thought except Thalia and hunters bought by victor. Teena repeated. I asked Thalia to help her to acquaint with hunt and give her weapon.
Soon it was night, I took a walk to nearby lake after my dinner. It was routine now. I watched reflection of moon in water, I didn't need to take care of moon chariot as it is Auto-pilot.
"Its a beautiful view.isn't it?" A voice behind me asked. I turn to see Thalia there. I nodded.
"It was one of his favorite view. He always sat near rivers and would look at moon" She said with tears in her eyes. I didn't say anything. We both sat there in silence. " So, I need to know what caused him to leave everything behind. I know you know everything. " She said looking at me with sadness on face. I felt bad for her. She always said that he was her brother. He was her role model.
" Sorry Thalia,But I canny answer that because-"
"Because he made you swear. Isn't it." She said cutting of me. I nodded.
" That Kelp head"she muttered.

|Time skip|1 week

Still Artemis Pov:

We were doing our casual things when I saw one of my hunter running to me from her patrolling duty. I saw Thalia walking towards us.
" My lady, there is an army of monsters coming towards us "she finished and an arrow hit the ground.
"Everyone to defence" I yelled. Everybody took out their weapons and gathered together. I have 56 huntresses,saw an army with hellhounds, dracanaes, Basilliks, lead by Echidna and her favourite offspring Chimera. There was about 500 monsters from here itself. From that moment I knew we are doomed.
I summoned my bow and yelled. "Hunters, fire at will, kill any monsters"
We attacked. But we were not able to hold with. I saw my hunters getting injured. I took out my hunting daggers and charged. But was stopped when a black figure with a black dog flashed between two. " Victor" My new hunters who were brought by him said. So he is that man. I looked at monsters to see fear in them. "Porthitis" They whispered. " So this is the famous Porthitis".Echidna said.
" Well Mother of Monsters, I was looking forward to see you. Its a pleasure" He replied sarcastically.
" By the way I have a debt to pay you by defeating you." He said.
"You mere boy even cannot defeat my army or my sonny. Are you going to defeat me? " Echidna mocked.
" Well I am called destroyer or conqueror for no reason. Let's see"
He replied. He turned to me. I saw his skull mask with flaming fire in spot of his eyes. " My lady, can I?" He asked.
I nodded.
"Oh you think you can defeat me. Sonny attack" Monsters charged. He just stood there, at last moment he turned his rings. Two swords came forth. It looked identical but one was dark when other was a light grey almost white. He charged at them. He wiped one third  of remaining in seconds. We were watching him in awe" Are you going to watch from there or are you going to help?"
He questined. That shook us we attacked. I looked for him but he was just blur of black. His dog was a beast. It attacked monster with ease. In just seconds other monsters were also dust. Echidna lunged at me but was thrown from mid air and hit a tree. Seeing this Chimera, attacked victor or Porthitis. Chimera was not able to hold, he started to shoot fire. But next thing scared me. Victor controlled fire and shooted back to its mouth. Chimera burned to golden dust.
" You killed my sonny. You will pay for it" Echidna screeched.
" Ya ya, I killed him. So what? He will reform later. But now you shall meet him yourself" He replied in a dead calm voice. It send shiver down my spines.
Echidna lunged at him. He crossed his swords defending the attack. He then tossed Echidna to air and jumped at her. He stabbed his swords in to her heart. Echidna turned golden dust in mid air. He landed on ground. We were shocked at him. He walked towards us. He then healed the injured ones. He walked towards me. And said" I take you want to take me to olympus" I nodded. " But it's not time" He said and flashed away with his dog. We stood there for some time until Thalia snapped" What the hell was that." Other Hunters were asking questions about him to hunters brought by him. They said that they never saw his face but he was such a caring one like a brother. They also said that he killed all of them who hurted them.
"He live upto his name" Thalia said.
" Everyone tend others and take care. I will be informing council about this. Thalia you are in charge " They nodded.
I flashed to olympian throne room. And summoned a meeting. Everyone flashed in and sat on their throne. Except uncle Poseidon. At last he came. He was like an old man who was waiting for his death.
" Artemis, Why have you called this meeting." Father asked.
" Father I saw Victor or Porthitis " I answered. Everyone stared at me.
"So how do he look" Uncle Poseidon asked hopefully.
" Uncle, he was fully covered with cloak, armed, hood and mask. He was accompanied by a black dog."Poseidon slumbered back to his throne. I then explained everything to him. The attack, encounter, healing.
Council's  face was shocked.
At last father said" Artemis next time you should bring him in."
"Council dismissed" Everyone flashed away....
