There was a tapping at Bea's window as she tried to sleep that night. At first, she thought she was crazy, but at it's persistence and Lonnie's complaints from the next bed over, she finally stood up and moved to the window. Standing at the bottom was a familiar head of curly, brown hair, a lopsided smile stretched across his features. He brought his phone up to his ear and, a moment later, her phone started buzzing on the bedside table.

Lonnie groaned loudly and pressed her pillow down over her head. "Sorry, El. Blame Eros," Bea whispered. Lonnie groaned a short reply as Bea moved back to the window. She swiped to answer the call and held the phone up to her ear. "You owe Lonnie an apology."

"Did I wake her up?" he asked, his lopsided smile not budging as Bea looked down from her bay window.

"Enough. You finally figured out where my dorm is. How'd you pull it off?"

"Esme is a talker. Don't tell her your secrets unless you want all four of us to know," he warned. Bea shook her head, having known the moment it happened she shouldn't have brought the girl back to her dorm when she needed a scrunchie for practice. "You look glum, Rose. Didn't want me to know where you sleep? Probably a good call."

"Yeah, that's why. Not the disaster video call I forced onto you four."

Eros' smile faltered, but only for a moment. "I don't wanna talk about that. Our time together is running short, my lovely Rose. Care for an evening stroll? Perhaps out to the west maintenance building?"

Bea laughed lightly. "If that was the plan, you should've texted to meet by your dorm." The school map flashed through Bea's mind. "I have a better idea."

"You're the boss, Your Majesty."

Bea was down the stairs a few minutes later after running a brush through her hair and throwing an Auradon Prep hoodie over her t-shirt and shorts combo. She thought about brushing her teeth or throwing on some lip gloss, but that felt too presumptuous. She settled for quickly chewing a stick of gum which she threw away as soon as she reached the dorm lobby.

Bea reached up to toy with the necklace resting on her collarbone self consciously as she exited the building. Eros smiled as soon as he saw her. "Radiant as always, Rosie."

Bea shook her head at him. "Kiss ass. You just want my mother-in-law's wing."

Eros rolled his eyes dramatically. "Please never say those words in my presence again."

"Why? They make you nostalgic?"

"More like dreading the future." Eros looked Bea up and down again. "I wasn't lying, Bea. Our time together is running short."

"Well, then. Let's make the most of it." Bea grabbed Eros' hand before she could think better of it and pulled him through the street until they reached her favorite place on campus.
