" I'm not gonna stop, that's who I am , I'll give it all I got, that is my plan, will I find what I lost, you know you can, bet on it, bet on it, bet on it". These lyrics, aptly put together by Troy Bolton are a wonderful fantasy that you should not get caught up in. There are many ways in which high school just does not measure up to the expectations of the infamous High School Musical production, and here's a few.
Firstly, singing. Not too much singing is going around the campus, except on special occasions, such as a much deserving Teachers' Appreciation assembly. Secondly, the amount of teachers portrayed in the movie is a grave inaccuracy. Throughout the whole HSC movie franchise, it only showed two teachers. However, in real life you have up to ten teachers. Remember now, every subject class has its own teacher. Thirdly, the amount of school work is laborious and non-existent in the movie. In real life, in every other class, you either have a stack of classwork or homework that has to be done in a limited span of time. This is unlike the very popular movie that has little to no work, except during the academic tournament.
All in all, don't believe everything that is depicted by Hollywood. If a show is not based on true events, you may be misled and highly disappointed of the reality that school presents.
