Do you think that taking initiative is an important thing in high school? Taking initiative is definitely paramount to your academic progress. It helps to produce good grades and build your self-confidence. So, don't be afraid to go the extra mile.
Having initiative is critical to your high school experience. Why you may ask? In junior school, many students do not take responsibility like they should. For example, students do not always find it beneficial to study or participate in class. This should change by the time you reach high school. Students should not have to wait until a teacher asks them to study for a test, instead, they should be ahead of the game by initiating it beforehand. Secondly, don't be afraid to take part in classroom activities and discussion. Participation is very helpful to students; it helps them to understand class assignments better. Next, students should always be prepared in school. Students should always come to school on time, and have the tools they need such as school supplies and textbooks. A lack of responsibility is not taking the right initiative in building a good character. Students should always come to school on time without their parents, teachers or administrators telling them to do so. In addition, students should have an eagerness to learn. Follow up with teachers or classmates on any missing assignments or grades when absent from school. Teachers may not always tell students that they are missing work or grades. In conclusion, initiative is showing how responsible and independent you are.
In summary, taking initiative shows how mature, reliable and dependable a student is becoming.
