Do you know that maintaining an above average gpa is paramount to your scholastic success? Having a high gpa will be the crowning glory of your achievements in school. I know what you're thinking, grades are not important unless you like the subject or the teacher for that matter. Well, that is the thinking of a junior school student, I know because I was once one. However, when you enter senior high school that thinking has to change. You can most certainly maintain a high gpa by balancing your grades.

You probably are thinking, "What does it mean to balance grades?" Let me expound. There are subjects in school that you are naturally good at or are simply easy, right? These subjects may include, but are not limited to Physical Education, Family Life and Civics. Guess what? There isn't even a national exam for these subjects. Therefore, it should not be challenging to pass them with flying colors. These classes will help you in the core subjects that may be more difficult and have a heavier work load. Those subjects include Math, Science and English. Stay with me! So, what does all of this have to do with balance? To maintain a 3.00 gpa or higher, you have to ensure that your weaker subjects are balanced by the ones that are easier. For example, if you work hard and are still struggling in Math, you continue to work hard for at least a C grade. Remember, a C grade should be the minimum that you ever receive in any subject, unless you want to do credit recovery. Trust me, you don't! That C grade in Math should be balanced with an A grade in an easier subject. Once you maintain the balance between the C and A grades, you will be on track to honor roll status each year. Just picture your parents beaming with pride as you walk across the stage to receive your honor roll badge each year. The feeling of pride and joy will definitely be unparalleled. A high gpa status in Senior High school will definitely keep you on track for success in life, if you learn to balance your grades effectively.

The transition from junior high to senior high school does not have to be a difficult one. If you strategize your academic journey by balancing your grades, you will be successful. Isn't this a wonderful way to start your path to excellence.
