"A stitch in time saves nine" is a famous English proverb which means that every individual should complete their duty at the right moment. If we remain idle, we are bound to fall in life. Punctuality means arriving or doing a certain task at the appointed time, neither early nor late. Punctuality is the key to great success in life. The renowned and successful individuals in the world are known to be punctual. They knew the value of time and therefore utilized it in the proper manner throughout their lives which got them to where they are today.
If a student is conscious about the value of punctuality, he/she should complete homework assignments and prepare for upcoming lessons in due time, and then only will it be easy for them to be able to cope with the progress of their class lessons in school. He/she must get up early in the morning, complete their morning routines in a certain time frame and also be to school for when the first bell rings to head to class. All of those actions alone teach you how to manage your time and to be consistently punctual.
Being punctual makes you an asset and not a liability. For example, you are at your job, and your boss gives you a task to type out an email that needs to be sent to the head office at 9am sharp the next morning. You, being the punctual person that you are, jump right on that task making sure that it is typed out correctly with minimal to no errors visible; and it is sent in possibly the night before it is due. This would give your boss more confidence in you. Therefore, lining you up for more simple tasks in the same category, possibly giving you head way for a promotion. This means that your boss can depend on you, making you an asset to his/her business. Whereas being a liability or being liable would be, if you were to turn the email in at 11am instead of the appointed time which was 9am.
Being punctual requires sacrifices such as, meeting up with friends, playing games at late hours, going out etc. Punctuality is a mindset. In order to be punctual, you have to be ready for time crunching, you have to be able to work through some sleepless nights, you must also be ready to cut off the social devices. Being punctual doesn't just mean arriving on time, but completing tasks on time as said in the beginning. In conclusion, punctuality must be a top factor of life, it keeps your life organised and put together and also helps you to think straight. Punctuality should not be forgotten in any task that comes up. It will carry you through life and keep you on the right track 100% of the time.
