Sam is a twelfth grader who attended school only two weeks every month, although the graduation requirement was ninety percent. When she did attend school though, she passed all of her classes with flying colors. Everyone constantly hounded her to attend school more frequently, but she didn't believe she had to, since she got great grades. When it was time for graduation, Sam was very elated. Unfortunately, to her dismay, her attendance, like a ball and chain, kept her from achieving her goals. Please do not be like Sam! Follow the rules.

Do you know that the entire universe will be in chaos without rules? School rules help students maintain discipline by ensuring that the pupils are aware of what is expected of them. School rules are intended to protect you on campus. Specific rules such as no student allowed on campus after dark and only the same gender can enter the same bathroom, are written just to protect you from being in unwanted situations. Therefore, failing to follow the rules could result in dangerous consequences for you personally and create liability for school administrators. If you look around on the school campus, you would always see flyers or signs with dos and don'ts. I get it... school rules aren't easy to obey, or might sometimes seem useless.  However, it's important to obey all rules even if you feel they're unnecessary. You might think that no one notices or appreciates the good behavior and obedience, but teachers do notice and they appreciate it . Additionally, showing respect for school rules like not cheating and refusing to speak foul language, helps to build trust with your teachers. This will also help you to maintain a strong academic reputation and show your teacher that you're serious about your education.

Many students break the rules because they want attention or want to follow someone. Consequently, breaking school rules may lead to suspension, after school detention, parents get called in and getting expelled. However, rules aren't only for school; we are faced with numerous of rules in our daily life.  Everything you're getting taught now in school is to prepare you for the world full of rules and regulations.
