Chapter 2

Asher POV

    "Ash! Did you grab my headphones?" Kayden screamed from upstairs. "Yeah they're already in my car" i yell back. I hear I'm running down the stairs into the kitchen where I'm grabbing a snack before we hit the road. "Thanks" he says before opening the fridge to do the same as me.

    Are parents said goodbye before they went off to work this morning. I'm not surprised they didn't stay to send us off like they did with our other siblings. Mom told us she'd call us later tonight. What that really meant was she'd call Kayden later tonight. Kayden and I decided to get an apartment together since I'd be easier. Kayden won't be really eligible to be a captain until his sophomore year and he like me doesn't want to be in the athletic dorms. I've heard horror stories from our brothers and sister about them.

   We drove down they're a few their a few weeks ago with Kayden's car to set up our apartment. We decided to fly back so Kayden could keep his car here so we could ride together when we officially move in.

   "You ready to go?" He ask will eating some fruit.

"Yeah! I've been waiting on you!" I say will he laughs.

"Am i driving or are you driving?" He asks while walking to my 2020 Chev Colorado Black truck.

"Oh I'm driving first. I can't drive the second half when we have to go that back way. Makes me car sick." I say to him will walking to the drivers side.

We get in and i start up the car. I put on my car ride playlist and we head off to our new home for the next four years.

"Did you say Allee was already here?" Kayden said while unbuckling his seatbelt to get out of the car that's parked in front of our apartment.

"Yeah she's coming over later tonight" i inform him.

"Ok the boys said that they are having a party at the captains house tonight, if you want to come you can." He tells me while unlocking our door.

"I talk to Allee, we'll most likely go since we don't have practice tomorrow since there giving us three days to settle in." It was currently Sunday, Classes don't start till Tuesday, and gym doesn't start up again till Wednesday. Allee and i have been practicing with the team since first week of July. It was required so we could get use to our new family, friends, teammates, coaches, and equipment.

"Okay, I'm heading over there at 7 let me know if you an Allee want to come with me." He asks while we both put our keys in the bowl next to the door.

"Are you going to be the DD?" I ask him while he goes to our fridge to grab a water while i sit down on one of the island stools.

He turns around and looks at me with a dead straight face "do you think I'm going to be the DD?"

"Well how are you gonna get back home?" I ask concerned

" well if you guys don't plan on going i was gonna stay over at Reece's, his apartment is right down the street" he says

"Ok well knowing Allee she'll probably be the DD" i tell him and he nods

Allee's uncle drank himself to death while she watched it happen. Her parents got him into rehab twice but kept relapsing. I'm the end he died from liver failure. She doesn't like alcohol, she doesn't mind me or being around people drinking. She just won't drink, and i don't judge her for that.

I go back outside and leave the door open to start unloading all of our stuff that's in my truck. After the first round Kayden decided to 'grace me with his amazing presence' (not the sarcasm) finally help out. I'm decently strong for a female due to gymnastics but some of the boxes i could not carry. I would've broken my back trying to do that or trip going up the stairs since we are on the second floor.

Once we finished getting everything out of the car and put into place in the apartment, i get a text from Allee.

Allee: hey bitch you here yet?!

Me: yep, we just finished packing

Allee: on my way
Allee: do you have my coco puffs their?

Allee loves coco puffs, like i mean loves them. I always had to make sure i had some in our cabinets at my house since it was practically we house too. My parents didn't care if she came or not so she was over all the time. She didn't like me coming over to her house since Her parents fought a lot and divorce our senior year. Which was understandable, that was the first big thing we found out we had in common. Our parents didn't pay any attention to us.

Me: of course, how dumb do i look?

Allee: very

Me: rude, i guess I'll just have to through them in the trash

Allee: you wouldn't?!!

Me: try me bitch

Allee: NO NO NO OK IM SORRY!!!!

Me: Tehehe that's more like it

The next thing i know she storming in like show owns the place and finds her coco puffs box and hugs them
"My sweet baby" she says with her eyes close swaying while hugging the box with both arms to her chest

Kayden's sitting on the coach and looked up from his phone not really phased by what just happened since it happened all the time at home.

"I'm guessing you gave her a key" he questions

"Yep" Allee says popping the 'P'

"If you walk in while I'm naked that's on you not me" he states while typing something on his phone.

I start to giggle

"Nothing i haven't accidentally seen before" she states While his eyes widen at her

" we take that to our grave remember?" He said leaning over on his thighs pointing to her while she's eating her coco puffs

" ya ya i know, just be glade i didn't scream or that Claire girl you liked at the time would've never talked to you" she state

I start cracking up laughing at that memory. We were at a pool party our freshman year and this asshole who was invite pulled my brothers pants down for me and Allee to see. Thankfully everyone was walking away to jump in the pool. I've seen my brothers body naked. I mean again we are joined at the hip. He's seen my stuff I've seen his for us it's normal. I mean we don't walk around the house naked but when we do see one of us naked we aren't really weirded out by it.

"She didn't talk to him anyway remember?" I say to her

"Ha ha very funny" he's says sarcastically walking to his new room and slams the door.

"Aw is poor wittle Kayden mad" Allee says with a baby voice

"Allee shut the fuck up" he yells from his room

we both start laughing

She goes to sit down on the island stool next to me while i ask "Kayden says the Captains are having a party tonight to kick of the school year do you wanna go?"

"Sure what time?" She asks while looking at her phone

" he said he was leaving at 7 if we do go with him one of us is going to be the DD on the way back home" i say

"If your planning on drinking then I'll be the DD i don't mind. It's not like I'll be getting drunk" she says while i giggle

" thanks your the best!" I say while hugging her from the side while she still looking at her phone

" i know. Oh can i borrow some clothes and stay over then?!" She asks

"Sure idc" i say

I get off the stool to go take shower and to start getting everything ready for tonight. 

First college party here we go.
