Chapter 5

Ellies Pov:

|19th September | Thursday |

It's been a little over a week since school started and it's going pretty well so far.

Today is my first tutor lesson and Eric is waiting with me. I'm pretty nervous. I'm just not good with conversations and I'm afraid that I'll embarrass myself.

"So..I'll go now." Eric says while getting up, which makes me pout.

"Are you going to hang out with your friend again?" I ask and he nods slowly.

"Am I going to meet them someday?" I ask whole raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah. Just..not yet." He replies and I nod.

"You won't replace me, right?" I ask jokingly.

But a part of me isn't joking..

For the past few weeks he's been neglecting me for this new friend.

"Ellie, I could never replace you." Eric tells, making me smile a little.

"Okay..you better don't." I respond and he laughs at that.

"Let's hang out when you're finished. Just come over." He says and I nod with a smile.

He then turns around and leaves. A few minutes after that the door opens again.  Did he forget something?

Instead Mr. Brown walks in with someone behind him. But when I see the person my eyes widen.

"Oh hey." Josie smirks at me, making me snort.

Seriously?

"What are the chances?" I laugh, which makes her laugh as well.

"You two know each other?" Mr. Brown asks surprised and we nod.

"Okay! Well..that's great. I'll leave you two alone now." He adds before walking out.

Josie grabs a chair and then sits down in front of me.

"Did someone miss me that much that they want to tutor me?" I ask teasingly, on which she rolls her eyes.

"Oh shut up, I didn't know who I'd tutor." She replies, making me chuckle.

Josie then leans closer to my face, which makes me a little nervous.

"So..Eric won't kill me if I tutor you now, right?" She says and I can't help but snort at that.

"No, he won't." I reassure her and she leans back in her seat again.

"Okay good. Because I think he doesn't like us spending time together." She answers, making me look down.

Eric always felt like the second choice to people. Everyone somehow left him for his sister and he's scared that I'm going to leave him too. So..he doesn't really want me around her. And if he knew that I have a crush on her he'll loose his mind.

"Hey..you okay?" I was brought out of my thoughts when I feel a hand on mine.

"Y-Yeah, just thought about something." I mutter while quickly pulling my hand away.

"It's just..Eric has reasons why he doesn't want me around you. I understand them but sometimes I don't, I just have to respect that." I tell her and she sighs before scooting closer to me again.

"But it's unfair! I want to spend time with you too. I'm not even doing anything!" Josie groans and I can't help but smile at that a little.

"I'll talk to him. He'll understand that you're just helping me with school. And maybe..we could use it as an excuse to hang out?" I suggest, making her sad face turn into a smile.

"I like that idea." She says and then puts her elbow on the desk and her face into her palm.

"But I don't want you to get in trouble because of me." She adds and I smile a little.

"I'll be fine." I tell her and she gives me a small smile.

I then caught her glancing down at my hand and her hand getting closer to mine.

"Do we need to study today?" Josie asks, making me chuckle.

"I think we do." I respond and she looks up at that.

She groans but then gets up and goes around the desk to sit next to me. "Okay then..with what do you need help?" She asks while leaning her head against my shoulder, making me smile a little.

I didn't know she could be so cute..

I then turn my head and look down at her. "How about we go to my place?" I suggest, on which she looks up to me.

"I thought we wanted to study?" She asks confused but I just shrug.

"We can do that at my place too?" I reply and she starts to grin.

"Does someone want me all for themselves?" She asks while sitting up and leaning closer to me.

"Um.." I gulp as my eyes switch between her eyes and lips.

"Yeah, thought so." She says with a grin and then leans back before getting up.

"C'mon." She holds out her hand for me and I gently take it before Josie pulls me up.

"You have to answer my question someday." She tells me and I sigh while nodding.

"Yeah yeah." I mumble and she glances at me.

"Take your time." She replies with a wink, making me blush and her chuckle.

It's going to be very hard to control myself..
