Ellies Pov:

"What are you two doing?!" Eric exclaims angrily, so I quickly walk over to him.

"We were just dancing." I explain while trying to put my hand on his arm but he pulls back.

"And who's this?" I ask while nodding over to the girl.

"And who's this?" I ask while nodding over to the girl

"I'm his girlfriend. Didn't he tell you about me?" She answers confused, making me look back to him with a raised eyebrow.

"You have a girlfriend?!" I say shocked, not believing he would keep something like that from me.

"Was she the mysterious friend you were hanging out with?" I ask, on which he looks down ashamed.

I guess that's a yes..

"I can't believe it.." I mutter to myself.

"You judge me for dancing with Josie when you were lying to me for weeks?! We used to tell each other everything. What changed that? Don't you trust me?" I say angrily but you could hear the pain in my voice.

"I wanted to tell you, believe me! I just didn't know how." Eric replies but I just scoff at that.

"Yeah sure. It's not that hard to tell your best friend that you at least like someone. No, instead you kept lying. I'm not saying you have to tell me but it has been month!" I tell him and he opens his mouth to say something but then closes it again.

"And you always complain about me hanging out with Josie when you literally have been canceling our plans for weeks!" I add while shaking my head, not wanting to believe what's just happening.

"You know that I don't like you two hanging out. You know why!" Eric responds but I only sigh at that.

"At least she wants to hang out with me." That was the last thing I said before walking away.

Josies Pov:

"Are you serious, Eric?" I ask angrily, making him look at me now.

"Oh don't tell me what I did wrong now." He tells me while rolling his eyes annoyed.

"Shut up. You can't compare what you did to her to dancing with me. Or wanting to hang out with me. Jeez Eric, what you're doing is so toxic! You can't tell her with who she can and can't hang out. You literally lied to her for weeks, so now don't expect her to run after you." I answer before walking to where Ellie left.

"Where are you going?" I hear Eric asks, making me stop.

"I'm going to find Ellie. She needs someone right now."

"If you go to her now I'll never talk to you again." He says, so I turn around to face him.

"Really? You hate me that much? Don't you know me enough that I wouldn't do that? Don't you trust me? She's not feeling well and I want to be there for her. I'm so done of you telling me what I can and can't do. If I want to spend time with Ellie, then I will. Just because she's with me doesn't mean she'll leave you. Gosh, get over yourself!" I tell him, on which he looks away while biting his inner cheek.

Then I turn around and rush outside to look for Ellie. I don't feel drunk anymore, I just feel angry.

After a few minutes I finally find Ellie sitting on a bench, a few meters away from the house. So I quickly walk over to her and sit down next to her.

"Hey.." I say softly as I place my hand on her thigh.

Ellie looks up to me and stares at me for a few seconds before looking back down.

"He hates me, doesn't he?" She mutters with a sigh as she lays her forhead  against my shoulder.

"He's drunk, Ell. He's overreacting. Just give him a little time, everything will be okay." I tell her and she wraps her arms around mine.

"Did you say something to him?" She asks while lifting her head and I press my lips together.

"Joooo, what did you say?" She groans but smiles as well.

"Well..I just told him that he can't tell us with who we can and can't hang out. And I mean..it's true, he can't forbit us to see each other." I answer with a small shrug.

"He actually told me if I go here to you he'll never speak to me again. But I don't really care about that now. If that's how he feels, fine. It won't stop me from wanting to see you." I tell her, on which she pulls away to look at me properly.

"You'd really risk all that for me?" Ellie asks softly and I smile while placing my hand on her right cheek.

"Of course I would. I've pretty much been crushing on you for like a year now." I answer, making her eyes widen.

"A year?!" She exclaims shocked and I nod while chuckling slightly.

"Why did you never hint anything?" She asks and I look down embarrassed.

"I was shy and scared I'll ruin everything. And then we somehow got closer, which just made everything more difficult." I reply, on which she places her hand on mine.

"Well..you don't need to be shy anymore." Ellie tells me as she leans closer to me.

"I know.." I mumble before leaning in as well and pressing my lips against hers.
